I just picked up a medium roof cargo version and would like to see pics of what others have done. We plan to haul 3 250fs. Thanks.

I picked it up today. A medium roof, long wheelbase version. It drives like a car. First 70 miles of highway with occasional city stops averaged 19 mpg. I have the following measurements. From the base of the seats to the rear (minus the 7" section at the very back) is 10'10". If you lower the seat backs down the distance is 9'. The distance between the passenger side step and the rear is 7'3". It is 68" wide. 53" between wheel wells. The wheel wells begin 14" from the rear and run 34".

We are having a couple custom shops give us quotes and ideas for wall installation, The goal is function and not aesthetics.

Good luck with your transit. Matt at Jackson Ford in Decatur IL is looking to move Transits into the MX market. The dealer owner owns an MX track.

We had to pick it up before it was finished, but the main elements are in place. We need to add some trim and may tweak a few items. There's an aluminum 65 gallon water tank (with baffles to keep the water from sloshing) under the rear seat. The cabinets are double locking so no need to ever strap them closed. The wall is a combo of metal and wood. There's still room to add more storage but we have everything we need in place. Three 250f, a parts box, gear bags, 4 five gallon jugs of race fuel, the yamaha power washer and all the other MX related stuff is on board. The gas standard v6 did better than expected from Nashville TN to Hamer SC getting just under 20 mpg. It drives like a car, and not like a big van or truck. We'll see how life goes with in over the next year as we break it in and get used to i. So far, we are glad we waited on the transit.
