Just what it says I guess. We live by Erie Pa and just got back into motocross this summer. Friend bought a 14' KTM 125SX and I got a 14' YZ250F. We were trying to find some good tracks to travel to this winter. NC, SC, any tracks in Va. ride year round?

Budds Creek is open just about every weekend there isn't snow on the track, they keep pretty up to date on Facebook.

North Carolina Motorsports Park is open 5 days a week or so and is far enough south that you can ride there just about all the time. ~30 miles south of the NC/VA state line

Hog Heaven is in the Raleigh Durham area

South Fork MX is about 30 minutes south of Richmond VA

Easton Maryland (The Landing MX) just re-opened and was built by dirt wurx. haven't been back yet, but all the go-pros thus far look great.

Of the ones I listed, all but Easton have good accomadations for campers. add them all on facebook, or have one of your kids do it. If you want to do some racing, the Mid Atlantic Winter series is going on right now. Search that to get the schedule. Next race is NCMP on the 22/23

http://www.speedciti.com/ in Delaware is also a good winter track being it's mostly sand. colder temps and winter moisture doesn't ruin it.

Thanks guys, Those look like some pretty great tracks. Hopefully they'll have some nice weather for us when we can get away for a long weekend.

it's hit or miss there with Chuck Vane. he runs the place, and is very, very honest about track conditions. if it sucks, he isn't open. if they get a warm(er) day, he's open. Chuck is a stand-up guy, he's alright. But yea, DE is a little far north to be considered a winter riding trip. I'd try South Fork and NCMP. Hog heaven is a stretch but damn... every parking spot there has a water hook up... its a nice place. a welcome change from tracks that have one porta-john that hasnt been emptied since Rick Johnson was on Hondas.

the dude farms pigs, has a lot of money, and invests it into motocross.. both the track itself and the motocross community.

he's also got something big brewing regarding a series for next year that I think is going to pull in massive amounts of privateers....

I forgot to mention about Sugar Tree, they have electric/water hookups for campers. They also have a real restroom/shower house. Sugar Tree also has a amateur level supercross track in addition to their main track.

He trys to stay open pretty much all winter but as much as I like that place and the owner, that track is very hard to have fun on in the winter. Between the mud holes, mulch, and ice it gets rough! Still worth checking out.
