Hi i got recently a 2004 cr 250 and after removing the left radiator shroud i could see something was missing. Turns out the condenser was cut off from the regulator / rectifier.

Why would this be done?

Could it further damage my bike if i run it like this?

Thanks.

There probably is not a significant chance for damage as long as the electrical system is working properly. However, you should probably try to replace it. Try to keep an eye on Ebay for the components at a cheap buy.

This is not common practice. Not sure why one would do this.

It should run fine without it, but it does help make the spark intensity better. Just be sure the leads are not grounded.

Thanks for your help. seems that honda spares are the same price as the US here in Mexico because they have a factory in my state. i will buy the part as cheap insurance.
