15 Cylinder head on a 14 Honda 450?

Anyone know if the 2015 crf 450 head will bolt up to the 14 model?
And what about the ignition system with the handlebar button, will they interchange?

Haven't done the head, but the Vortex ignition has an optional handle bar switch. You can also do minor map changes right on the box without any special tools or a computer. Cost about the same as the Honda tuning tool.

Thanks, yeah the vortex is on my list, but I'm still wanting the 15 head, but I'm not 100% sure it will bolt right up to my 14 model.

Yes, it will bolt on. We already did it so Pro Circuit could build and dyno exhausts.
You need to change the right side radiator and hoses, too.
If you want the EFI map selector, you need to use the '15 wire harness and ECU.

Alright, thanks. Looks like the 15 head is pretty cheap too. Think I saw it on parts fish for like $356. That's not bad.
A guy at pro circuit told me they're ported cylinders usually gain 2-2.5 HP. So I figured I can get that with just the stock 15 head and have a brand new updated, and cheaper part at the same time..

Wander what other parts will swap out with the 14?. I think if I put the 15 head and pipe on my 14, along with the other parts I already got, my bike will be much better..

vortex ignition, or remap, remove screen from filter, a full pipe, crower cam, hc piston, race fuel, it will be a totally different bike.

Yeah, I've already got full FMf single and megabomb header, remaped for 4.4, screenless filter, stage 2 hotcam 13/50 gearing and run the 4.4 race gas. Bike runs damn good with an added dose of healthy mid-top power, but lowend seems a little weak, its still strong, but I want more. I'm gona keep all my parts and put a 15 head and matching FMf header on it, and proly put a H.C Piston in it.
My bikes good now, but I want awsome.. Can I ride it to its full potential...no, but I still want it.
How good is the vortex,?

imo, the vortex is the best mod out there, 10 maps , changed w a screwdriver. bike revs further, power increased all the way thru. def worth the $$, if you have it, . not cheap , your bike sounds sik.the vortex will make it better. , I had one on my 09 rmz 450, hope soon to get one for my 13 rmz 450. or check into the GET systems. HC piston will help with low end also. and deck the head.

Wander if I can put the 15 clutch actuation arm on my 14 model, and then run the 15 cable with its new routing.. Hmm, oh the posibilities..
Looks like I can basicly turn my 14 into the 15 model fairly cheaply, with the exception of the suspension. But there's no need for that, cuz I doubt thes stock 15 suspension is better than my FC revalved stuff...
