i see ads like this all the time .... a list of 100's of things that encompass 4 or 5 jobs, and they expect that even if this person existed (which they invariably don't ) , having a list of responsibilities that long means you have zero chance of being effective.

Our HR keep saying 'we cant get qualified people' .. when what they really mean is ' we cant get anyone with the qualifications we want , for what we are prepared to pay '... which isn't the same thing at all.

Motorsport is full of people working 2 jobs , for the money of less than one , just so they can be in the industry... I figured out that work for money , and Moto for fun is the way to go..

have just done the same thing, hoping i have done the right thing, i want to go riding on the weekends much more now, which is a good thing,

I worked in Pro Motorsports for 10 years , was fortunate to be factory based with no travel , which meant i could still ride , and we were well organised , so we didnt do stupid hours.. now its almost like that if you dont do 60 hours a week, you aint interested , which makes it a lifestyle not a living.

Being in the middle of UK motorsports i get offered stuff , but who the hell wants to work 4 nights including the weekend... was told it was a great opportunity, but which bit of working Thurs , Fri , Sat ,Sun 4.30pm till 2am is a great opportunity.

Now we can hit a european GP , and it only costs me 4hrs holiday ,and i dont get moaned at for it either.

Much clearer like this.

1 little mistake which may be applied to the entity...: no supervisor (so no leverage/knowledge management/portals). The corporate (so global) marketing leader (or specialist or head or leader or coordinator or VP) must be above (in charts & outlook), as basically what has to be done in the US is the same as they do in Europe. No supervisor means a good way to stretch someone whereas there is a ton of knowledge (that works perfectly) to be shared from the other continent. Simply explained, they ask a Bam Bam style to rev up everywhere whereas CP's style is quicker Smile

Otherwise it looks interesting.

Any advice for someone who just started in an advertising agency?
"When times are hard and it feels like our world is caving in around us, it is easy to become discouraged and quit. We want to throw in the towel and just give up. However, we can't give in to discouragement and frustration. We need to roll up our sleeves and put a smile on our face. If we happily press forward, things will turn around. Everything will turn out fine. Don't beat yourself up over some small, or even large, event in your life. Just smile, keep moving and everything will be fine".

This is like every single ad I see for jobs nowdays. I rven see shit for like a helper/apprentice with enormous job descriptions. Yall old fucks wonder why so many young people are unemployed. It would probably be less of a hassle to just steal money.

Either that, or they just put the ad up to say they "couldnt find a suitable candidate" and have to hire a foreigner to do the job for half the money.

Any chance you would hire a 24 year old white kid with a 3.0 gpa from a decent college? Naw, they need someone who can fulfil their "diversity" requirements. Never mind that the real talent gets brushed aside as too mainstream, all that matters is demographics!!

Most people's jobs got a lot more involved during the recession, because companies had to lay people off and still get work done. Now that they determined that they can get more out of fewer people, they aren't hiring back as many people to fill the positions.
The motorcycle industry is the same, except that we started out with fewer people per responsibility in the first place. Now us poor saps who work in the industry are screwed. Oh well, at least the job is fun - since I'll never be able to retire I'd better enjoy working!

Exactly why I started my business 4 years ago. Got so tired of HR policies and corporate bullshit. That description is only to cover their ass when they don't like the employee any longer they can get rid of them without any lawsuits or paying unemployment. With the economy now, businesses are looking to fill.2 or 3 positions with one employee.
