Jeff, the Alessi "racing" family SHOULD listen to the vitards. I don't know anything about you or your families personal life and I don't care to. But the Alessi family, as a racing entity, is a business and it needs to pay attention to what the racing fan (vitards, oddly enough, can be considered fans) have to say. Take that feedback and adjust your business model accordingly. Most of the drama I hear about is related to the Alessi racing family and some of the decisions it has made over the years -- on the race track ( or off to the side of the track behind a tree).... you guys would be crazy to not listen to the criticism and change the approach.

Consider it customer input and don't take this crap so personal. Just 2 cents from a racing fan.

Hiw did it end up here? I used to have a rule that nearly any thread that reached 20 pages probably belonged in the Dumbgeon. People have since proven that it's probably closer to 10.

If I went back and cleaned out everything that wasn't bringing up old Alessi history, or feeble attempts at insults, it'd probably be three pages.

Can you guys give a rundown on what was said ? or a transcript. I cant listen to any of these pod casts or much that is streamed because my digital hearing aids and pod casts and most cell phones all use a different standard for digital reproduction of sound so I am out of luck on a lot of that stuff. Sad

Here's what I got out of it:

Jimmy said that tony was complaining to the track owner/promoter/whatever about a jump and saying it wasn't fair to the other riders because jimmy was the only one that could jump it, so they plowed the jump. Then jimmy said that mike didn't go for a site lap all day because he didn't wanna get his bike dirty for the concrete start so he could get the holeshot. Well before that race, after everyone left for their site lap, mike did the start and then rode over 3 lanes of the tract right to the jump and proceeded to do "chicken runs" at it over and over and then burned on the line. Well jimmy's buddy saw him do it and ran over to the start to tell jimmy because jimmy wouldn't have known otherwise and would have come around and hit the jump, not knowing the line had been altered and could have possible been injured. Well jimmy was yelling at mike on the start asking him if he really did that and mike wouldn't answer, yet everyone else on the line heard jimmy. So after the race, jimmy rides up to the alessi's to ask about it and they kept saying, "you have no proof." Apparently there was some more stuff that happened after the race that jimmy said would have made the alessi's look even worse, but he didn't want to get into it.

Keep in mind folks, this a summary of what I listened to. Don't attack me for it because I'm simply the messenger. Feel free to jump and add/correct parts I may have missed or messed up on.

pretty spot on.

the only thing i can think you missed is that Jimmy said the whole race was pretty much "The Alessi Show" in his eyes and that the promoters and track owners tried to please the Alessi's first and everyone else second. also that any other race organization would have either DQ'd or docked Alessi for jumping the gate, but he still reaped all the benefits of jumping the gate. regarding the "burnout", he was wondering why Alessi would need to do that sort of shit, Alessi SHOULD go there and win without resorting to those kind of antics.

i was just really surprised they kept talking about it. i could have read every response and page in this thread in the amount of time they talked about it... kinda looks bad for everyone involved in a way. it happened, he called Alessi out on it, time to move on.
