I am looking for a throttle tube that will give me a better throttle response and a faster snap. My current tube is just plastic and I feel like it is rubbing on my bar way too much. Any thoughts on this new Pro Taper tube ?

I dont remeber the brand but I got an aluminum/ball bearing throttle tube, and its like butter even 5 yrs later. deffinetly has alot more snap and response, less arm pump too.

I was having a similar issue with throttle response. I just could not rip the bike wide open fast enough. So I rigged the throttle so it remains wide open at all times. It's just easier for me to pull the clutch in 1 or 2 times a lap to slow down (if I even need to) then worry about rolling the throttle on and off.

You'll never buy another throttle tube.

Seems I've tried all combinations and when the throttle gets sticky (even after cleaning) after a year or so the only thing I found works is to buy a new upper and lower throttle housing, new cable, and a motion pro tube..back to new.

I find one of the biggest causing a sticky throttle are worn housings..

I have them on all my bikes, great product. Buttery smooth. My '01 cr has had it since 2006 i think and still smooth no issues

Thanks guys. I will be putting it on an 09 CRF 250. Does it fit the stock housing and everything ?

Same here. Put one on my 09 when it was new. Just cleaned it for the first time last weekend.

Yeah I've got one buddy.

I've had a couple different billet tubes on my bike, gotta say this one is pretty dang nice! Very smooth.

Also for some mail order sites it isn't clear what insert you need. For the fat bars you can run the standard tube with no insert. for the twin walls or thicker tubing bars you need the correct one.

I ordered a tusk from rocky Mountain not really expecting anything fantastic. But was quite surprised with how much smoother it was. And a little less of a pull. And for only $30 hard to beat
