If Hannah gets in the Baker Factory it might just be enough to get her there. Yes she is racing supermini at MEC.

He states that he wants to ride in 2015. But wants good equipment and fair pay or it is a waste of time. Which I see as reasonable. . Otherwise he will retire.
LMAO! Retire and do what for money? If I was a pro level rider of his caliber (with assumed lack of any other skills to make money in life) I would have an agent working to get me the most money possible, and race every year until I couldn't physically do it anymore. I'd guess 95% of top pros don't have any other skill set to fall back on to make a living anything close to what they can make racing a dirt bike.

Makes you appreciate the privateer efforts even more after hearing some riders like Pourcel will just hang it up if they aren't on a team that pays them competitively to other factory riders and gives them top of the line equipment. Their life and their choice, but when you hear guys like SevenDeuceDeuce who cherish every moment, drive race to race, and make the most of every opportunity makes me want to cheer and support them instead of the past pampered pros.

Just my opinion.

Damn, that is so ****** up. Really wanted to see him riding Red Bull & Monster Cup on a PC Kawi ... Angry

For people who are too lazy:
Mitch also says that he called Christophe Pourcel earlier to see if he wanted to race the two exhibition races, but Pourcel told him that his Yamaha contract didn’t run out until after the Monster Cup was over. At that point, Mitch got involved in the Hill/Weimer deal. Pourcel called him back a couple weeks later and said that he had been released early from his Yamaha deal. Sadly, Mitch had already committed to two riders and didn’t have anything to offer Christophe. Mitch and Pourcel are very friendly — and Pourcel had been Mitch’s first choice. Que Sera.

Pourcel has done some things that team managers at the factory bike level won't tolerate in a rider. That, coupled with his attitude and demeanor, pretty much leaves him off the "guys you want the most list". He is looking at the factory supported teams if he wants a ride.. They can give him a decent salary and decent equipment but not quite at the level the factory can.

Says who? The only two people in this industry who have the right to have an issue with him (Mike Genova and Keith McCarty) both wanted to hire him for 2014. McCarty wanted him to ride for JGR next year but team managers in this sport are idiots. None of them should have a reason to not hire him. His positives far outweigh his negatives but the bro show is made up of cliquey dumbasses.

I'm pretty sure some team will hire him, he just has to find the right one.

Great interview - CP377 can ride a damm bike. Its a shame he did not get decent support.

If CP is still under contract with Valli, why doesn't he race a 250? I realize he has pointed out with two 250 SX championships but this is the MEC and not the SX "series". Do the rules apply?

He's not. Learn to read.

Seems things just didn't work out timing wise for cp. I think you should lay off mitch though he isn't the homeless riders charity he did his deals and I'm sure he has a budget to stick to.

I Wonder if Chad is doing the outdoors in 2015?
If not CP would be a great guy to represent his team.

Watch. Very well might end up being Hannah Hodges.
RV money would not make Danica jealous. I think you do not realize what a small time piss ant sport MX is in the big scheme...

Danica probably makes more a year in endorsements alone than the top ten in MX put together and it's not even close. Whether she deserves it or not is another story.

I agree. If we want the sport to grow we can't afford podium guys to quit because he got left out.

I made a post, gently calling into question the decision making process of some of the team managers in this sport but "bro show made up of cliquey dumbasses" is more to-the-point.

Here it is. The beginning of a the epic shit storm. Potentially. Watch her be on a Pro circuit Kawi for the Am all-star race next year.

Funny how you don't get it...
In any kind of business, nobody in their right mind would want to hire someone with Pourcel's personality.
Yeah, sure, he's a great asset to a team and the managers don't hire him 'cause they're all stupid...
Truth is the guy is smooth and fast -although very far from delivering stellar results- but he's unpleasant, unreliable and unprofessional in soooooo many ways... If he won enverything, it'd probably be worth dealing with such a major pain in you know what; but it ain't the case. Why bother?
He's basically a leftover who doesn't deliver what he's supposed to, maybe in the end he'll find a leftover deal to ride a leftover bike, but that's about it...

What you don't get, is that you cannot confirm a single word you just said. all heresay and rumors, and opinions.

You have only confirmed what Dart Board said. Having someone cool to sit next to and bullshit with in the pits takes priority over results.

It's funny that you're french.

pourcel is an amazing talent, but not nearly as marketable many other riders with less talent
. sponsors know that he wont sell product because of his percieved aloof snooby attitude.

Gator is the biggest Pourcel hater in the world. Period.

Like James in for American fans, Pourcel is very polarizing for French fans.

If you know what you're doing, you can easily make him marketable. People are interested in interesting things. Why else would be be so polarizing in the moto industry?
