How does a good team not sign him? With that speed? Do these fucking idiots not understand that riders build momentum when they race multiple seasons in a row? It would have been nothing but up from his outdoor season.
I don't claim to know the details behind the curtain, but I would suspect Pieck's asking price was a lot lower than Pourcel's. But with that being said, sometimes I am not so sure about J-Bone's picks. He has his reasons though, and that's why they pay him the big bucks.

I don't think this was money related.

Guess that might be the actual problem: nobody knows where to find him.
Can't even say "Get lost, CeePee!", it's already done.

I'll bet DV knows how to reach him. Or even Mathes. How about the AMA?

C'mon Gibby, you must have industry contacts to reach him. Make a couple calls. The guy is too talented and unique to just fade away. Maybe us fans can scare him up a ride by putting some attention on him.

Your interview would generate a ton of hits for the site as well.

Ive been hanging for an interview with him.. The guy is what had me glued to the 250 class this year. I'd like to see the man come race down under if there was no ride for him anywhere else.
Hope to see him in AMA sx mx in 2015.

That should be easily fixable for someone in your position, right? I suspect a lack of motivation in this case Wink

He still lives in Florida. Someone att Valli Construction must know his phone number right? Even trying to get his number through Sebastien or someone else at KTM Sarholz should be pretty easy. KTM Sarholz even has their number listed in the yellow pages.

My neighbours friend who has an uncle that has a friend says it's around €1 billion for a race

Isn"t Pourcel going to race Bercy (/Lille)? Which bike will he use?

I do also prefer to chat face-to-face, rather than over the phone.

But we want an interview. We almost demand one.. Don't we? How do we solve this one? Wait is not a vital member option. It's not our strong suit. Hmm...

There is a guy who posts here from Florida who has a son who used to ride at CP's house a lot. Maybe he knows something.

Depends on who you ask. among my other titles is, "babysitter for heckling a-holes."

Pourcel may not have the most fans but he does have a sort of a cult following of fans who really believe in the rare things he brings to the table.

He tends to be in this fucked up situation a lot. Most Moto media doesn't care or won't make any effort to interact with him in the common situation that involves him being out of sight out of mind.

The guy showed up to the Nationals four years later and still turned the fastest lap 9 out of 12 times and won a race.

Putting this thread in the dumbgeon just sweeps him and this bullshit situation under the rug like everyone else does and I think it sucks.

I don't have a problem at all chatting with him. He does seem to like to make things challenging, and isn't always the most forthcoming with answers. But I think he's an interesting guy, and an amazing rider.

i'm not really accusing you or directing this at you. It was more of a general statement.

In the 4 plus years I've been around here, I don't know that I've seen a more appropriate job description, Gibby. Lol

Thanks. I try and be politically correct (and polite), but sometimes there needs to be a more direct brand of communication.
