It's almost comical that you have such a hangup about Malin, especially when we've had to listen to Jeff "These are best 40 riders in the World!" Emig commentating on the Nationals for so many seasons.

Maybe you've got selective hearing and reading...? You moaned about him not mentioning Tomacs amazing charge through the pack last weekend, so Triple Digit (or whoever it was) listed a bunch of complimentary comments that he made about him during the commentary!
This! Good post jamma!

From RacerX:

Oh please enough already ....you believe you had the best team at the event but none of your guys even one the qualifying race ET finishing 8th and RD finishing 3rd......and you haven't one a single race in the last 18 races at the Des Nation's and at the last four main events it's 12 -1......Yes you're the fastest...in your sleep!

kingw22
The tide has turned....time to play catchup...which I have no doubt you will!

Could've....Would've......Should've...DID'NT..end of story!

Easyrider
I don't think Team USA can handle the rough European tracks anymore, all the US tracks are groomed way to much and too many jumps.
Like we do (Team GCool every year accept you weren't good enough and stop with the bad luck stories and excuse

kingw22
Now the Euro B Team still smokes your Captain America and the rest of your Action Hero's together with the rest of the Traveling Circus ...and it is a big circus..just ask Roger

A tiny fraction of the shit out there.
youre taking the racerX comment section as a measure?
I mean. really?

I didn't moan about him not mentioning Tomac's charge. I said he didn't have much to say while Tomac was making the GP riders look like amateurs.

And he didn't have much to say. Had that been Cairoli or Herlings making that charge, you would have though that Jesus Christ himself had gotten on a motorcycle in Latvia.

And had that been one of those guys making that charge in the U.S.A. during a MXdN with 30+ American riders in it, Malin's head would have split open and Guiseppe Longo himself would have climbed out.

But just keep on defending what everyone else can clearly see.
'you would have though that Jesus Christ himself had gotten on a motorcycle in Latvia. '

Lets face it, that's exactly what you did think, which is why you felt it warranted more sensationalistic hyperbole..

Actually, all I thought was that Eli Tomac was doing exactly what I expected him to do. It didn't surprise me at all, and I didn't want more hyperbole from Malin. I enjoyed his biased sewer being shut for a change.

No one has to make me do anything, I quite happily go out of my way to try watch every single Outdoor National and every Supercross, from 250 practice to 450 main event, because Motocross (and Supercross) is my passion and I love watching both series. But good attempt at trying to pick something negative out of my post.

oh. it's your passsssiooon.

Then, when you get done indulging in your "passion", you go out of your way to come on to an American forum, and bitch to Americans, about Americans and the American motocross series that you just sat up at 3am, watching on your laptop.

After that you, Mccread, and rob kinsey all go giggle about it over a nice hot bowl of spotted dick.

Why, it's the dog's bollocks, your majesty!

The guy will find a way to mention "the young American Thomas Covington" getting a shit start and running mid-pack even when the camera is not on him.

I mean, I hear Wiegandt do that all the time. "Evgeny Mikalhov just cased the fuck out of LaRocco's leap, better upshift next time, comrade"
Here some of it again

"Great riding, great lap,I'm glad we had that whole lap there Jeff because it illustrates how hard Tomac is working here"
"Leaving nothing on the table"
"Look how much time he's closed up already"
"Tomac goes through to 4th place now-wow"
"The fitness levels of this guy are actually incredible,he's had to work so hard"
"The peformance of the race, probably one of the most prolific performances of the MXdN in recent history from Eli Tomac"

Enough praise?

Some people definitely hear what you wanna hear,Malin talks the same good and bad about Covington as he does every rider,he's often talked to him in the studio show and really digs the kid and him coming from the US to ride

You can cite examples to illustrate you point until your little british balls fall off. but for every positive, someone will cite a negative.

Now, seeing as there are both positive and negative examples to be cited, I leave you with some food for thought:

"If you build 1,000 bridges, but suck one dick, will they call you a bridge builder?"

You guys can all "hate thee yanks" all you want. But do you think for a second that having anything negative to say about anything even remotely American is going to go over well on an American forum? What is your fucking motive? To change people's minds about the GPs? Not going to happen. Let it go. Abort your mission.

I'm pretty sure 3rd overall means that USA is at least on the same level as everyone else. Dungey with a second and Tomac with a 3rd in motos, fast lap times, etc... Sure Martin wasn't top 3 in either but in MX2 specifically, he was right up there against a bunch of 450 vets. I can't see anyone making the argument that any of these riders are a step behind or ahead (regardless of their country).

Good post, thanks!!
I agree, the results of the last few MXdNs just showed that the level of the riders is pretty even. The fast guys are fast, it doesn't matter from which country they are.

The implied "Satelite Teams" are ON Factory Equipment (or sometimes better) & are Better Funded; so, there's always that.
