I just bought my daughter a 2006 YZ125. It looks like it is squatting in the rear about an inch or two when I got it. There is only 12 inches between the rear tire and the rear fender. I had the suspension revalved for her weight and I have set the sag. The shock was normal and feels great. The subframe does not seem to be bent and the suspension links look like they are original Yamaha. Any ideas of what could be wrong with this bike?

No. The linkage looks OEM Yamaha. Could it be off a 250f or something?

Have you pulled it a part and checked the bearings and re-greased it?

Are you still using the stock spring? How much does she weigh? I'm guessing that in order to get the correct rider-sag for her weight with the stock spring you are having to run too much static-sag.

The stock spring is good for about the 140-160 range. If she is less than that you need a lighter spring.

I thought it was the shock when I bought the bike. Sent it to be revalved and resprung for her 120lbs. I told him to look and see if it had been lowered with the shock. He said everything looked good. Not lowered there. Sag is set at 100. Sag has been checked after 3 rides, still 100. Bike on stand with rear wheel off ground only 12 inches clearance between tire and fender. The bike rides good and a B rider rode it and said feels good.

Just measured measured my 2006 YZ125 from the tip of a center knob to the fender at a point straight up, 12 inches.

I think the shape of the rear fender on these bikes kinda gives them that low in the rear look.
