just seems careless to get snapped...i'm guessing all the KTM checks have cleared his account otherwise this is scary move.

Do you think Barcia isn't riding his bike yet? (If medically cleared) or Brayton on his Bto KTM? The only one who is switching teams that isn't riding his new bike is Deano. Simply because of the Des nations. I hate the off season. But I am like a kid in a candy store seeing the riders on new bikes and teams. A clean slate is always great for the brain. Dragging my wife to A1 in 11 to see reedy on honda was awesome. Such enthusiasm from the racers compared to the middle rounds I am used to seeing.

Teams are not always "Perfectly OK with it". Remember Reeds split from Brooks?

Isn't wearing the Red Bull helmet and other logos in public mandatory for a Red Bull athlete?
I would be more worried about pissing off Red Bull than KTM at this point.

Haven't heard either way, but I would guess a bit of it would depend on how testing goes. No one wants to show up if they don't think they have a chance to win, or would be less than impressive in a debut.

That's another reason I'm a Dungey fan. I love how he showed up at MEC just weeks after switching to KTM and raced a brand new, unproven 450. He showed up, did what he could and didn't really worry about making himself look bad.

Some teams/MFG's are ok with letting a rider go & others aren't...

This is the time of year where it's "politics between teams" that sets the tone.
