Dont expect him to hold your hand throughout this process!

Comprehensive theory! But all wrong!! Nowhere did I describe details or thoughts about knowing much of anything outside of what has been said by his team! So not sure where you got that?

I can respect and deal with what has been brought to the table with James and his team. If they need to stay quiet, then it is what it is!! Im not gonna blast him or his team for not talking about every detail or bringing up anything public till the process has been concluded.

LOL. Just yanking your chain. Lay off the exclamation marks though man.

If this had been any other sport, what was happening would have been made public almost immediately. Why MX athletes feel like they should be handled differently is beyond me. You clearly support the rider's privacy Tongue Laughing

Well its being handled like a Rookie handles a football, this is a first for our sport, not too mention all the different owners/associations are all being put into a place where they didn't think they would have to be, that which being Stewart (our highest grossing athlete/and obviously most controversial) being the first guy to be invloved in such an incident. You think if this was Mike leib we would even be talking about this? Fact is, a lot of this controversy is over what's right and money. Im sure there is a lot of conflict of interest coming from all different directions associated with this sport. I believe rules are rules but problem is I think there are loopholes and outs for both parties to come to an agreement. I think if Stewart is not suspended its because of the money he brings into this sport. If he is suspended than we know that the Fim, Dmg, Ama, Pro sports and anyone else invloved are serious about taking this sport to new heights. I for one hope this is a fine/penalty from last season and warning for James. I would really like to see him lined up at A1. The longer this process plays out though, im not too sure how positive it will be for James.

Like the Alessis the Stewarts can't seem to get out of their own way. If it's not one thing it's another with them. They both are insular family camps without a person who is capable of managing their careers / day to day operations. Both Mike and James are great talents who never achieved their potential because they could not separate their professional lives from their family lives.
Aye~

They have had it together? Except for the many seasons, races, and DNF's Stewart has missed / had that were not injury or mechanical related, and getting arrested, and having his team manager fired during the middle of the season, and getting dumped by his team's main sponsor. It has been a circus with him since 2010. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the Stewarts are bad people, JS7 was just not well supported / prepared for a high profile racing career.
What sponsor bailed? I don't recall that one.

I remember Larry Brooks took family leave time, and he never came back. JSE left JGR because the bike sucked. JSE had a bad day at Unadilla when the mean Euro spanked him so he packed up and went home.

I always liked how he said, I want to run MX, but my team is SX only. Like an MX team would not sigh him up.

I got a sneaky feeling JSE will take some time off, regroup and take the 2015 title by storm, maybe even run a perfect season!

If not, he'll go home, regroup and take the 2016 title by storm.

Maybe that's the issue, to much time regrouping?

Let's draw a parallel to bicycle racing:

Hypothetical:
Lance Armstrong is competing in the Tour de France.
Lance tests positive for PEDs. Nobody is told which PED, but fans learn through rumors that its a prescribed medication.
Lance is provisionally suspended, and keeps on racing.
Lance pulls off in the middle of a race, and issues a press release discussing vague issues that are keeping him from racing.
The media are instructed not to ask Lance questions about the issue.
Lance stops racing, and so does his brother.
Lance and his brother are spotted doing hard training rides even though they say they cannot race.

Bicycling fans are left to connect the dots with no real media coverage of the biggest story to hit the sport in a long time.
Bicycling fans fill a message board with speculation...they are scolded at various times for wrong conclusions and speculating in the face of a total lack of real reporting on the topic.
This is spot on, but according to some in here these athletes would still be around without fans. You cant call yourself a professional and act like a child. Sad part is I am starting to think the truth will never come out.

San Manuel dropped their sponsorship with L&M shortly after Stewart's arrest and LB's "family time".

We need a playbook/time line for all the JSE drama.

The arrest IMO. not that big a deal. We all do stupid shit when we're young. But when you're high profile, you might pay a higher price.

That's what I have been saying for a long time, this is a grown man. He makes his own decisions bad or good HE MADE THEM! This "oh lets stand up for poor James he did not know better," is crazy. They know they are in the wrong that's why they have not said anything about it other than it's an issue. If it was an honest mistake everyone in that camp would be doing whatever to make it right, and prove it was a mistake. The terrible professionalism and PR has just been a huge cluster for that entire camp. Rules are rules, if they don't like them then maybe they should find another job, its not like they just popped this up over night. Come on...

You've said basically the same thing in every Stewart thread, we get it, you think he is terrible, and you are so perfect you would have done everything better. He will be gone soon one way or another, who will you complain about then?

I was just curious, cause it's the same few people saying the exact same thing in every Stewart thread.

To answer your likewise question, it will probably be RV and Mike Alessi, the next two riders who get the most shit from so called fans.

Has anyone seen the interview in the new TransworldMX mag? I looked for it on line, but couldn't find it posted anywhere...

In the interview, James says that he is taking the WADA deal a lot harder than the arrest because the arrest was just screwing around, off the bike. The WADA deal is racing and could tarnish his legacy. He is also worried about Malcolm and his family getting dragged into it.

He mentioned that if it came down to Adderall or racing, he might just choose Adderall because it helps him so much in normal life / when he is off the bike.

It sounded like he got pretty emotional (as much as you can tell from a printed interview). Some of it seemed like damage control, but for the most part, I thought it came off as genuine.

We need drug testing to protect the children! They will all think they have to do drugs to be able to compete. Our sport won't be taken seriously. We need to become more mainstream!

Exactly and I am sure you will be right in there arguing about other peoples opinion and in doing that contradicting yourself. You realize this is a forum right? Also "the same few people" in the Stewart thread your name seems to pop up a lot too...its a hot topic people are going to talk about it. We enjoy the sport...so we get on here to talk about it. This is not a hard concept bubs, people have opinions, but I forgot only yours is right? As far as hes terrible? No..when did I say I was perfect? As a man I own up when I screw up..cant say the same about your boy stew. So your not a fan, but you defend him every time someone says anything you don't like?

As usual, exaggeration. People say things I don't like all the time, about Stew, other riders and many other things, that I ignore. It's only when they say it over and over again do I say anything. Nothing wrong with having a critical opinion of a rider, but what's to gain saying the same negative thing over and over again.

It's ok if people don't like me sticking up for Stew or any other rider, but I will take that over criticizing these riders repeatedly who have done nothing to me or them. If that's a contradiction I'm ok with that. I have seen that people will fight and argue their right to trash people, I can do the same to stick up for them.
