Yes it is. Brad had the prestigious no1 plate in the world 500cc champs which he could have taken to any one of the japanese manufacturers, but as BobbyM said, they have their pride and honour and wouldn't overlook bridges he had burned with previous employers.
I wasn't infering Brad had done similar things which J-Lawless has brought upon himself.
Rob
actually they wanted to hire brad but brad wanted more money than they were willing to pay. so he retired essentially. he knew he achieved his goal and it was going to take an extra incentive to get him to do it again...and he could have too.

I too heard about the first firing, relayed the info to you guys, and it changed. This new info could also change but I did hear it from someone that is privy to these things, especially as far as Yamaha goes.

As far as JLaw getting a ride, (if he stays out of prison) I would seriously doubt it. What team or sponsor for that matter would touch him with all that baggage and all that bad press potential? These things far, far outweigh his podium potential imho.

I'm wondering if it's a one-rider team, or... Hey Hamy, what's new? (Besides that KTM.)

Hey, Gibby, hope you didn't take my other post in this thread personal. I am sure you talked to someone who would know what was going on at the time with 338. I just found it funny that all the media outlets raced to their computers to "break" the story about J-Law being fired the first time, then it never happend.
IMO Jason will get a ride (providing he stays out of prison) with some team, with a very big personal conduct clause in it. Meaning if he f's up again he doesn't get paid. What does a company have to lose with him being on the team? He has to know by now he is about out of options. Now would be the time to sign him. If he stays clean that team has a legitimate shot at a title. If not, they kick him to the curb, issue an apology letter and the move on. Has anyone confirmed that he has lost his personal sposors, or is this like last time where everyone made it all up about all his sponsors dumping him?
Maybe 105 could help Jason get to the races if he goes privateer?

Again GuyB, I really didn't mean it as a slam.

I understand what you are saying trip, but don't you think a team would consider him far too big a risk? He has shown time and time again that he is. Why would they expend all the effort and money on a team with a rider that has a huge chance of failing? It would always be in the back of their mind that this guy could go off at any time and ruin everything they have worked for, and cost them and their sponsors huge amounts of cash.

I sincerely hope you are right, but I just can't see it.

There are quite a few guys now that have J-laws speed without the baggage, not worth the risk for any team..

Really? Don't know if I buy that one. Dungy and Villipoto were supposed to so much faster than everyone last year in sx. How'd that work out? All we can go by is last years results. Nobody has seen any of these guys on a sx track in quite a while. I'd sign him, and take a chance. He does bring alot of publicity to the table and it's not all bad. He did pull off in a timed practice to give another rider who fell last year a ride back to the pits. He did pay Hamblin's travel expenses for a while last year. He isn't all bad.

Wow 5 pages, that's the kind of publicity he generates. I am not going to bag on the kid, I just hope he gets it together. I hate to see a talent wasted in anything. And yeah he did some good things also, keep that in mind.

When me and my brother were at the Yamaha Dealer Show/Expo
w.e. the hell it was at the Vegas Sx earlier this year I heard Jason
in his 3 hour autograph line say shortly after a girl (no older than 16)
walked by and I quote him "Id go to jail for her haha." HAHA funniest
thing Ive heard a pro say. Tho thats not really some shit you should
pull at the big Expo or w.e. it was. Still really funny.

I heard he got an 8-ball of meth and has been running laps for his own 24 hour endurance race for 3 days now. He just stops for gas and is back out carving the berms to look like Mount Rushmore.
