If Roczen goes on to win this championship, it won't be because Dungey had a mediocre day in a mud race. Roczen was the top guy for most of the series. If today's race was not muddy and Dungey did well but round 3 was muddy and he finished in 9th place, hardly anyone would be talking about it now. Last round...first round...it doesn't matter...the final points are the only thing that does!

So Dungey having a mediocre day in the mud today had nothing to do with winning or losing the championship.

Ok, whatever you say.
The championship will not be won or loose on a single race.Stop crying!

Great day of racing, i sure hope the shitty weather didnt keep the fans away, for the promoters sake.

Looking fwd to this track being on the calendar for many years to come! Really dig the layout and beautiful scenery. Its too bad the weather took a piss on it.

That's bullshit. Dungey has started ahead of Roczen in most races this year. Blaming that is lame.
if ken wins the title then he deserves it. Hes beaten dungey more than dungey has beaten him- all in his rookie season, quite an acheivement!

he rode great today- championship ride

Of course it did, but the fact that Dungey only finished ahead of KR twice in the first 14 motos of the season also played a huge part.

If Dungey had been better earlier he wouldn't be playing catchup.

All the motos count.

The mud forced the last race to be that much less exciting. Mud always throws a wrench into things. Under normal conditions, RD would not have have been 20 points behind heading into the last round. Next week's went from must watch to I may watch. I am an RD fan but if things were reversed I would say the same. I would hate to see KR finish that poorly in a moto and possibly loose the championship in that fashion. I was really excited about this race looking at the photos from yesterday. There were some big jumps out there and the dirt looked perfect. I guess we will have to wait until next year to hope we get to see how good this track really is.

Huge Dungey fan, but pumped for Roczen. As others have said, not as excited for Utah now. But still will be watching and hoping for a miracle for the dunge. Big Congrats to JMart, Minnesota Proud......

it was a dumb thing to say about two racers who already have had a better career than cooper likely ever will.

Do you think if it was the other way around it would have already been forgotten?

Not fucking likely.

I think it was said a while back about one race, I didn't know he meant it to be for perpetuity about MM and CP...

but some of you seem to have a very highly tuned sensitivity to perceived slights...

Firstly, you didn't answer my question.

Second, if a guy in Webb's position (rookie, no professional titles) makes a public comment like that about two guys (between them have a multitude of race wins, US and world titles), who then proceed to kick his ass then he's gonna cop it.

sure, he shouldn't have said it..

so go ahead and keep bringing it up every race and never let it go, I'm sure it gives you all a nice feeling of satisfaction in your life..

I think Ando's point is more about not saying it in the first place, then you won't cop it at all...

And if you think it was a "perceived slight", and not actually just pretty fucking arrogant, and therefore likely to draw some shit your direction, then you might be lost in public conversation worldwide a lot more than you realise.

CP fastest 250 rider of the day.
Bummer he got mud splashed at the start of moto 1 and had to come in for new goggles.
Came back the 9th tho.
Indeed, if he had made his usual good start in first moto, he would have surely won today. Bummer!
His best time in the last lap of the last moto, it's a really good sign for him.

Awesome! Martin wasn't on anybodies championship radar at the beginning of the season and the new YZ's were an unknown entity in MX. Congratulations to both!
