OK so after getting hurt and taking about 6 years off, I wanted to do a 2 stroke build (thanks to the awesome 2 stroke thread) and I found a craigslist bike that believe it or not, was already built almost to how I wanted it (and it was local!). Motor has work done (not sure what exactly as I haven't had it apart yet), wheels / hubs and a shit ton of aftermarket parts... Basically I just need to make it my own - which I will over the winter.
So now I need to do a top end after riding it for a while but not sure whether to go with Wiseco or stick with the stock piston. I have always been a fan of stock pistons but if there's a better choice for this engine, I'm open to suggestions. I've read the stock piston is a little small and tends to make noise and has less compression and the Wiseco is slightly larger (eliminating the noise and compression issues).
Sooooo.... what do you think? Stock or something aftermarket?
Thanks in advance.
