I know it is way early, but we have been getting afternoon downpours everyday for the last 2 weeks. Forecast doesn't look to change. Kind of sucks cause I want to ride the Friday practice day. But if its raining, as deep as that track looks, I probably won't be able to get around it.
I've se it rain all nite then clear.,they rip it and it be epic.
Your biggest worry will be 100 bikes on track in your session.
It seems like it's been ages since a real mudder! Budds 09?
I hope we get a few wet races too, so much more unpredictable.

I just like seeing them in different conditions. I've actually appreciated the tracks being a little more hard pack than usual this year. Hopefully now we see a few soft ones, mudders, blah blah blah.
AMA riders need some variety for the MXDN!!
Mud adds a lot of weight to the bike and you. Most collects on the front which is sprung weight, riding on the springs.
What collects on the swingarm is unsprung.
Ideal would be to change fork springs or at least add preload to keep the bike from riding low in the stroke up front which makes the steering faster.
It is hard to do either so i lower the forks all the way in the clamps to slow steering.
I then take 2 or 3 rounds of preload off the rear spring to futher slow the steering.
It makes the bike ride deeper in the stroke on the rear but in deep mud speed is low ,and a stable bike is more important so you dont wear yourself out fighting the bars
This setup stops a lot of the bike wondering around down the rutted straights.
Also,go up a few psi on tire pressur to keep from pinching the tube. You hit unseen edges and rocks when in mud and carrying more weight.
