30mil for a multi billion dollar company is mellow for them. At this point they are dealing with funny money, ya know.

I wonder if M&Ms / Interstate Batteries bailed on Kyle?

It's baffling how much money the energy drink companies seem to throw out and they just seem to make more and more money. Their promotional budget has got to be out of the roof. All for a greenish yellow caffeine buzz.

Rumor has it that Carl Edwards is going to JGR and getting the M&M sponsorship. Kyle retains the 18 and gets full sponsorship from monster.

No.

Then just for information, B2C corporations positioned on these types of markets (Cola, Nike, Vuitton), spend minimum 30% of their revenues in advertising. (which is why we all know some brands whereas they are very small corporations vs. some B2B, i.e. Aramco)

They used to be Hansens, but changed their name to Monster in 2012:

Per Wikipedia:

"Monster Beverage Corporation manufactures energy drinks, natural soft drinks, and fruit drinks including Monster Energy, Hansen's Natural Soda, Hansen's Energy, Hansen's Junior Juice, Hubert's Lemonade, Peace Tea, and Blue Sky.

As of May 2012, Monster held nearly 35% of the $31.9 billion energy drink market."

i can probably count on one hand the number of Monster energy drinks I have purchased - which is probably more than any monster athelete has ever drink, drank or drunk......Usually its the morning of a SX race as a back up in case my credentials get messed up and I dont the early entry to the pits before public....hate waiting in those long lines but I'll do what I got to do...... I do know some folks who drink 2-3 cans of that crap a day...... How did Gatorade miss the boat on all this energy drink craze...I been / still drinking gatorade when I surf, ride the dirt bike, play a show, drive across country or cure a hang over.....

CAFFEIN.....................gatorade was a "sports" drink.................never marketed to the "X" crowd..............red bull started it and still owns arguably most of the market, especially worldwide................started as a legal "buzz' if you will............

IMO.............G'ade too stick and ball.........the exact things all the X guys are against...............and seriously seems really stupid but Monster really won the battle initially and got in the game by going to a big can, 12 or 16 oz, versus red bull at 8 oz, for the same or most cases lower price...................

just like Nike having a hard time cracking that X crowd, made a little headway with 6.0...............can't be cool when the cool kids think your a nerd............G'ade just got caught sleepin.................red bull was around for quite a few years before it really took off, no pun intended with their give's you wings schtick......

Sorry but I do not believe in that analogy whatsoever. To each their own.

I hold out my respect for athletes that participate in sports that are physically demanding.

Hearing moto compared to nascar is painful. I cringe every time nascar references brought into moto.

What makes you think that NASCAR isn't physically demanding?

You're obviously the type of person who's not worth arguing about over this because you don't "get it" and worse, you probably refuse to try and "get it." By the way, what is it that makes you "cringe" or is "painful?"

Ive actually done some research. Other than the G-Forces in the corners and the ambient temperature of the cockpit, I do not see too much physicality. Sorry if that offends fans of nascar - just not my cup of tea.

As for nascar references into moto, Its not that I think they are detrimental to the sport, but OVER and OVER again?

" oh look jimmy johnson just tweeted in that they are watching the race ". They literally only mention nascar athletes. Im sure there are professionals of other sports that watch, but they tend to focus on nascar repeatedly.

Again, its not that I hate the sport, but I feel like broadcasting tweets/input ONLY from nascar is a bit disappointing.

EDIT: also, way to make it personal. "I don't agree with this opinion, therefore I must make assumptions about the personality and views of the poster". Seems to be the epidemic around these parts.

I think they do a pretty good job of including Rickie Fowler, Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner, Valentino Rossi and other motorsport athletes. But I think you might be off base if you think there are just a plethora of other athletes outside of motorsports that are tuning and worth referring to in the broadcast. If anything, sx/mx fans should realize that NASCAR is a huge market and if a driver with the amount of followers they have tweets something about moto, it's a good thing and should be noted.

Hansens is their natural soda, monster is their energy drink, still the same names for both.

Id say Moto GP is much more relevant to MX/SX than Nascar.

And the majority of those athletes actually know what they are talking about when it comes to racing on two wheels (and not in an oval for that matter). The good ol Ricky Bobbys, not so much.

The fact that you think NASCAR is still comprised of the "good ol Ricky Bobby" says enough about your apparent "research." Obviously it's not worth my time to talk to you about this anymore.

Hansens still makes Hansens Energy Pro in the green can.

The same one that MC used to have on his Helmet long before the Monster "M"

Wow really didnt think the crucifixion for not liking nascar would occur. And yes i am in the SF area and have been to Sonoma. Big fan of indy and moto at sears point as well as laguna seca (RIP moto gp), its the oval racing that i just cant get into. By the way, the ricky bobby reference definatley has no correlation to my knowledge of the subject, but keep those personal attacks going mr HV

Yeah, two different markets and crowds they are trying to sell to.

I wasnt sure if you knew that Hansens still made their energy drinks, not just the natural sodas.

well when you make stoopid comments you get what you get...................some of the best guys in our sport couldn't drive around in circles good enough to have someone pay the bills..............TP, RC, RJ..........alot more to it than you and many people give it credit for..............

how pissed off were you when all the jocks said "all you do is sit on the bike and twist the throttle"...........well same when all "you" guys say "all you do is sit in the car and turn left"......................why it is a "team" sport and why hendrick is basically dominating.............much like mitch and pc had done for years..........figured out all the pieces to the puzzle............

and it is without question the top $$$$$$$ producing motorsport in the US, for EVERYONE involved...........while most of the time all we do is complain about how much money the promoter makes and everyone else is racing for food stamps..........

to each their own........me I love most everything with a motor and appreciate what it takes to do anything on 2 or 4 wheels..........and the best thing about auto racing is very very very few kids and young men nowadays are getting paralyzed and killed...............and I've been in MX since XR75 was the shit........

Speaking of Gatorade, who is the only pro MX rider to be featured on their label?

SX/MX v NASCAR....................................................... The physical argument can be answered easily.

RC shape during MX/SX v RC shape racing NASCAR.

The defense rests.................

NASCAR racers have awesome talent driving a car and it doesn't go unappreciated by me BUT I think Jimmy Johnson could quit working out, put on thirty pounds and still be killing it.
