Helping MX one track at a time!

Edited Date/Time 6/12/2014 4:37pm
At Motocross Matrix we have one goal and that goal is to help motocross tracks by providing them with a track directory, phone apps, and race listing service. We feel by getting the word to the rider about future races, practices, and track locations this will help tracks gain more riders per event and thus help tracks be more profitable!

In the past two years while working with Mx tracks we have listened to those tracks willing to help us improve our web site and apps. Now we have released a new version of our system based upon the feedback tracks provided us.

Keep in mind everything we do for Motocross is 100% Free! We are in it to help and only help!

New updates at MotocrossMatrix.com

- New easy to use Phone apps
- Simple two rider lap counter for phone apps
- Simple race and practice postings for tracks
- Easy to read scheduling calendar for each track
- Modern easy to use web based race software with real time results postings!

So many tracks have complained about their need for an easy to use Motocross Race Software that we built it for them! Its located directly in the Edit race part of the system and takes a track from registration all the way to the calculation of the results!

Once again we are passion driven for the sport and our doors are open to any tracks or promoters who need the help! No fees! Just go old fashioned help. How do we do this? Our main business is in Aviation software and much like some race teams or sponsors we simple help the sport when ever possible!

Call or email us for help updating your track races or using the race software.

The phone app is so nice to have. I never have to log on my computer to see track info in my area, like location or phone #. I have it all at a glance, gives more time to ride and less time on the internet.

You should add Breezewood Proving Grounds, Roaring Knob Raceway, and Pleasure Valley Raceway for pennsylvania

It's pretty cool having this type of app for motocross. I have been driving up and down the west coast. Maybe I can check out some new tracks now!

If you get a chance, give argyll mx a try. They do a good job there and the track is a lot of fun. There aren't really any hills, but the layout is pretty good and the jumps are well built and safe.

The app won't exit on back button press on my SPH-L720 (S4 Sprint).

Also, why isn't event data allowed to be edited by us, the users?

If you are trying to exit the app can you click your home button on your phone to leave the app? Does that phone have that home button?

Also, as a rider your wanting to edit race information? We only allow tracks to edit their races currently? Could you explain more? Thank you

Pretty simple and free. The other app motofinder wants 30$.
Yes that is true any track or promoter can add their track and races to our system for free. We will help though if needed of course. We are even updating the apps today and we are taking feedback from the industry to see what we can do to improve. The race software is inside each tracks account as well and that is very cool! It shows real time results and information.

Thanks to all the riders for letting us know the tracks we have missed .I am updating them as they come in.

I am pretty sure AtcoMX in Jersey closed.

I think you're missing Evansville and Pagoda from Pennsylvania.

Thanks for the resource!

I have been working on updating tracks we missed and deleting one's that have closed. As riders do not forget to tell your local track owners about Motocrossmatrix.com. So they can enter in their practice/race schedules. We need track owner's to use our system to keep all riders up to date in their local areas. Best of all it is FREE.

In current AOSP, if you press back on a home screen, it will exit to the home screen and force the app to close. Pressing the home button does not force the app to close. Your app does nothing when the back button is pressed. Are you restricting the use of the back button? This is written into AOSP and carriers all leave it.

Why does a track have to update all the info in the app? I can sit here right now in my free time and do a few months of Glen Helen's schedule.

Ok that is all fixed! The android app now has an update available and we made some nice updates there. Iphones will get their updates in the next two days as Apple is slower in that manner.

Updating apps now
6/10/2014 12:20pm
We will continue to make more updates as we figure out a nice balance of how to help provide the riders with what they need and not anything that they won't use.

We also have another new app and system you might want to check out. www.CategoryMe.com and once you get in there you can add the category #motocross and find other motocross people to ride with. Of course it has to gain more people but we already have like 500 so its a good start.

yup! and the tech staff just informed me they will make another update tonight to add some new features. When we get more and more data in the system we will add a filter to the search so that you can find races in your area within a radius.

The key to this thing is the race software for the tracks. That race software is nice and very simple to use. But the key is it then spits out real time data to the riders such as practice line up, race line up, results, and even lap times.

How often do you update? Not bagging on the idea, in fact I really like it, but it will die quickly if info is not reliable. Under tracks in Arizona, for example, there are two that have been closed for 2+ years. FYI...
6/10/2014 8:29pm
We update a few times a year, but the problem is how do we know its closed? Many tracks do not answer the phone so its difficult. However if riders can start providing feedback then that will help. Maybe we can build a feedback option per track to notify us that there might be an issue with a track.

We have a track here and were looking for some software like this. Am I right that when I add a rider to a race it doesn't save their info? It would be extremely useful that the rider be in a database so the next time I need to add them to a race I don't have to enter all their info again.

Actually the more I mess with this it seems like it does, Just start typing their name and it comes up.
6/10/2014 9:37pm
Yes it does save all of the riders you put into the system and then you can use them for future races, emergency contact info and so on. Also we give you an export at the bottom of your page to export their information so that you can then use that data to market to your rider base in the future.

There are two ways to add riders to your race. 1) is the rider quick add 2) Line up page per class

This is a great service to track owners. I've searched and searched for similar software. The only thing I could find similar is Trackside at an outrageous price.

What about on the scoring.. I'm getting the hang of all of this. It appears that you click start then just click on the riders # as he comes across the finish to score them. However after I've clicked them once I can't figure out how to click them again for each additional lap. The # disappears from the left side of the screen.
