When do they release the 09 mx schedule?

I'm looking at going accross to watch on of the AMA nationals next year. When do they normally release the schedule for the outdoor season? Which event would you recommend as the best one to attend? I'm looking for a race in the second part of the season Thanks Woohoo

The schedule will come out around the time of the US Open SX. If July 4th works for you go to Red Bud Michigan. Millville Minnesota in August is good. Both tracks produce very good racing and pictures.

In between is Washougal, Washington (state). A lot of beauty in the surrounding area, also.

I agree RB, Millville and Washougal, in that order, or similar order!Unsure Heck, go to all three!

Washougal is usually the final weekend in July and Millville two weeks later around Aug 12-15th or so.

I don't recommend Washougal. Very pretty area, but very poor spectating and not the most exciting (read: jump filled) track. I made it to six nationals this year and the ones I can't wait to go to again are Unadilla, Steel City, and High Point.

Millville. Plenty of local tracks and places to stay. Nice people. Norweigan culture big here. We get some Norwegian ski jumpers staying here each year too. http://www.westbywi.com/

I recommend Budds Creek. You can see DC while you are here...Plus you get to see one of the country's greatest tracks. Also, if you go east coast, you might be able to catch a couple rounds.

Why is it that you like Unadilla???

The place was nice for spectating... but my position in the mechanics area sucked! I got hit in the face with rocks every 2 minutes no matter where i stood.

High Point, That place was pretty awesome. I just didnt like it because my brother didnt qualify there. haha.

I havent been to Millville, steel City, or freestone.

Red bud is an awesome track! Lakewood is pretty sick. Hangtown was one of the roughest this year. Glen Helen is insane, but great! Southwick is pretty small but beautiful. Budds Creek is also a beautiful facility but the tracs been pretty one-lined for the past 2 years. Washougal, great layout, dirt and spectating sucks.

Unadilla has a nice layout with the rolling hillsides. Southwick is tough since the whole track is now lined by 6'-8' tall chain link fence that is "far" from the track edge. You have to go the infield and sit in the sun soaked bleachers if you don't want to look through chain link all day.
