Hey guys, I'm doing a little homework and looking for some insight and opinions from the moto guys out there.
So what are some of the favorite features and amenities that you have seen at motocross tracks? Whether it be track design, pit features, or even non-moto related features available at the track.
Also, what are some things y'all haven't seen but would like to see?
I know in the moto scene, often times just having the track available is something to appreciate in itself. If a track were to emphasize on catering to the general public, making itself a true training facility and moto heaven, and truely giving the riders and spectators what they want, what would that track look like in your eyes?
Thanks guys.

Dream track: Hills(elevation change on the track), nice restrooms, good dirt, good watering system, food stand with healthy food, parking area with good view of the track, trees for shade.

Good track prep (graded, watered)

Multiple safe options for big jumps (tabletops, step downs, single to table, etc.). Not do or die big double/triple jumps.

Flexible hours to accommodate different schedules.

Multiple track options ("pro", outdoor, SX, Vet, Pee Wee, etc.).

Don't mix riders on practice days, a pro should not be riding with Novices and no big bike should ride with mini's.

I always thought it would be cool to have a little bar at the track to finish watching others practice while tossing a cold one down the hatch. Of course that is a liability nightmare but I think you could mitigate it by saying that you can't ride after you drink and thinking of a way to enforce that. Another feature I've only seen a couple of times is have a dozer cut a wall that guys could back their truck up to and unload their bike without using a ramp.

What would you guys think about beverage & food carts going around the pits during races/practice days, or a sort of rewards program where you have a punch card or something where 10 practice days equals a discount on race entries?
Would things like that make you more likely to go ride at that track?

Thundercross MX in Ockeechobee, FL has a Enclosed/A/C Lounge Room and open deck at the finish line and there is a full view of the track, now that is comfort at the peak of summer in Florida.

Btw, you guys should check out Cycle Ranch in central Texas. We have the best dirt you'll find, national, night, GP style, and SX track (pro license only), in addition to 2 turn tracks. There are restrooms with showers, a moto shop with all the parts, gear, fuel etc you'll need, a cafe that we're looking to get stocked with healthy organic foods, a covered pavilion, play area for kids, and live-in availability for those looking for a convenient and consistent training option.
In my opinion, it's already moto heaven but I'm trying to find what I can do to help make it even better!

And covered bleachers, and start area, and car, bike wash bays, and RV hook-ups. Cycle Ranch is off the charts in amenities.
Love that dirt too. Only thing that would make it better is if it was in Denver.

-Lake Sugar Tree (Axton, VA) has a badass shower/bathroom setup, super clean as well! They also have a huge pond that is great for fishing! Almost forgot, they have a amateur level SX track with lights for races. It's nice to have two tracks to ride and even be able to ride a more technical track.
-Breezewood Proving Grounds (Breezewood, PA) has a lot of extras that make it enjoyable for spectators and families. A few things that stood out to me at Breezewood was they had a dining hall in their club house that had pretty good food, seating and AC. They also have a pond for swimming with a water slide and some platforms to jump off of. There are probably as many, if not more kids around the pond as there is riders on the track. Breezewood also offers cabins and year long campsite rentals for a decent price. Makes for a good getaway for a moto family or even a nice steady spot for riders to train at independently. Breezewood also offers multiple tracks.
-Speed Citi (Seaford, DE) always offers a nicely prepped track as well as night practice/races on half the track under the lights. It is nice to get the most riding time out of your weekend or catch an evening session. Overall, Speed Citi has the best track in my opinion.
