CR250? I know it's either a 2000-2001. I would like to do a restore on it and it's one of Tortellis old frames. The problem is, the Factory Hondas were completely different from 00-01 and Tortellis number was different as well. Anyone have an inside scoop on this?

I think the 10th digit in the vin is the year. if it's a 1, it's an '01, if it's a 2, it's an '02.

Or I could be out to lunch...That may be Yamaha, I can't remember.

not sure about the frame, but the front tire is shot. that would be a cool build.

My thoughts exactly. If it's a works frame, it never started out with a "year style". I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure it's a Gen 2 frame.

Its either 00 or 01. Without a correct Vin you can't tell because they were the same.

The 2000 CR250 came with a keihin carb and the 2001 came with a mikuni. Assuming nobody swapped carbs, it might help in identifying the year.
