It's close, I could argue for either. But four SX championships in a row is a godly run of success. Year in and year out for four consecutive years. Unreal. But so is taking it for a whole summer. Even the years where pro circuit came close to running the table with different riders is a feat.

24-0 is an amazing feat...but everything was clicking for Stewart & the bike he was on.

Four SX Championships in a row trumps that, IMO. That's a whole lot of clicking, and having it click more often and more consistantly than anybody else. I'm not an RV fan...but that's pretty damned impressive.

JS didn't win his 24-0 with RV in the field.

So I'd say that the 4 in a row is more impressive.

Almost any pro would take ONE SX title over a 24-0 season. Not many guys vying for "MX Only" contracts. The fame, glory, and money resides with SX. Hard-core fans may see if differently, but those with skin the in the game want the crown jewels.

There's no "championship" mode in a 24-0 season and 4 in a row is nothing short of amazing. Is there really a need to compare the two? Consider yourselves lucky to see both be done because it's going to be a long time before someone else comes along and impresses us like JS, RV and RC have.

Yeah it is especially when you consider that in the beginning of the year Davi and BT101 were racing. I believe it wasn't even till round 3 were someone other than James even led a lap. Mike was in second till his crash fast forward to 09 and Mike is leading the points after winning 2 races in a row. Tim Ferry would have a few titles and a shitload more wins if it wasnt for RC and James. You idiots always try and discredit Timmy, he was a boss outdoors. Shorty even now in 2014 well out of his prime he is still throwing down top 5's on a good day. Josh Hill won a supercross race that year over K-dub and Reedy so d was he sub prime comp? Shit four years after this Bryne was leading Unidilla going away until his crash. 24-0 is ridiculous no matter how you cut it.

The 450's back then weren't exactly what they are today. I'd take a 2002 CR250 over a 2002 CRF450 any day of the week. Besides, most everybody was on 250s.

Not quite. RC has openly stated that the Honda CR250 was underpowered compared to even the KX250 he rode the years prior, let alone a 450. There is no way the 250 he raced in 2002 was pumping out 60 ponies or even close to it.

A lot of people were on 250's still but not Timmy, and yeah the 450's are better now days but it was immediately apparent how more power the four strokes have over the 250 two stroke, Look at 97 GH Emig was visibly faster than Doug but it took forever to get around him due to lack of power and that was just a four stroke, and IMO Doug doesn't win the 98 title without the 4 stroke.

That Honda was a down on power compared to all other two strokes at the time, He said somewhere he loved his KX250 and jumped on Browns YZ250 I believe and couldn't believe how fast it was with just a pipe.
