RVs a great champion. He just doesnt need other people making excuses for why he wins or loses. Like last week the only reason Stewart came from 14th to 1st is because RV was sick, and this week it was because hes riding smart. We need to get real the two fastest guys out there are RV and Stewart. They handled everyone else.

Let me ask you this.......when has RV " Ever " rode conservatively when he's behind in points? He does this every single year. He hammers the comp the first part of the season ( or however long he feels he needs to )....gets a comfortable lead and lets the race come to him. There is " NO LUCK " in that strategy......it's called being smart......and he's getting paid a bunch of money doing it that way.

Makes me laugh my ass off reading some of these replies in here. Why on earth would RV want to get in a dog fight with James......when it doesn't help the long term goal? What don't people get about that.....when it's so simply put right in front of them?

That's not taking anything away from James at all.....the fucking dude is riding phenomenal right now! Don't know/ care if RV could beat him right now anyways. The good thing is......with this points lead.....he doesn't have to unless he feels he needs to.

I'm a fan of both........but the hard core Stewart fans will be singing a different tune when we get to the outdoors. That green bike is going to be up front a lot for the next 1.5yrs before he sails off into the sunset.

Respect both these great racers. When the curtain fails on their careers they'll both go down as two of the greatest the sports ever seen.

Podium bonuses are good, win bonuses are great but those championship bonuses are the ultimate ticket. Not just financially but to cementing your legacy.

There is no hate coming from me. When it comes to James and RV.....I actually dig them both very much! I love seeing James up there and making it exciting! I do tend to stick up for RV when he is getting slammed on here and when I think it's unwarranted. I DO NOT dig the RV nut swingers slamming on James either.

I respect both of those guys as racers far more than what you could imagine. But when the line gets drwan in the sand , and I'm forced to pick sides ( it has nothing to do with rider vs rider ).......it's fan base vs fan base. I'll side with the RV group if I think I should and they are right. RV is from my neck of the woods and a lot of us have seen him come up from the pee-wee class and local racing.......of course we support him.

AND.....with all that being said , the amount of championships that guy has racked up since turning pro makes a lot of us feel proud. That DOESN'T mean I don't like to see him earn it! And he's earned every single one of those championships.......every single one! The ones James has earned.......he earned them just as much!

Ask Adam C how important racing for the title was for him rather than protecting his points lead once he had it, anything can happen..Why was RV racing the MEC for a non championship title although he was the defending champ?, was he not trying to beat James then?...

I never said that either. James won last week because he was just simply faster than everyone else out there. With RV being sick or not.....I don't think the outcome would of been any different.

James takes himself out of his comfort Zone alot as well, as seen by the fact he can average 5 wins a year but still not win the championships that RV has,

I don't know if RV would have had the speed to pass James last night, but the fact he had built a massive points lead means he has put himself in the position that he does not have to,

I think this year you have seen a smarter RV, the fact that his worse race is a 6th, and he has less wins than any of his other championship years,
