Looks like a 79 400. Except that hoop in the back doesnt look quite right.

i just got it and was told its a 74yz 365? figured it was yz360 model 365. but whats strange is it has a plastic cover on the flywheel? im confused. frame and motor numbers match

Upon some further google searching that looks to be a Yamaha IT enduro with a YZ tank.

Its not a 74. The swingarm and suspension travel is a dead giveaway. Im guessing 1980 IT 400 or 465 whatever size engine it had that year with a YZ tank.

It's a 81 IT465
They didn't make a 465 in 1980 and I think the 82 was blue
The white square number plates and slot in axle hole were on the ITs so you could do a super quick tire change in the ISDT .

Put 1200-1500 or so into that bike and you'd have a nice open racer

Here is my YZ360A, what you have is a 81 IT465 with YZ tank. A 74 YZ360 would be a twinshock with 432 Eng and frame code as pictured, a far cry from the IT.
