I think RV is gonna win the title yeah, but ANYTHING can happen up until then. Everyone remembers 2012 when RV tore his ACL in Seattle. Let me reiterate, I do not wish for this to happen by any means but that was a freak accident that could realistically happen to anyone. RV is fast and smart no doubt but lets run the races and see where they end up. RV hasnt had his bad race yet, things could still get interesting.
I agree that anything can happen and that's why every weekend I am on pins and needles, not that RV1 has to win, but he has to finish top 5. I am hoping he has already had his bad race, and he can clinch early, and ride a few races without the
championship on the line. JS7 could easily win out if he can keep it on 2 wheels, I'd like to see both those guys going at it
in full win mode. It is still an exciting season for me every weekend. Go RV1Woohoo

not sure if you think everyone HAS to have a bad race or if it was just poorly worded... but why do people think that every rider out there is going to have a bad one? is it a requirement?

RC said you make your own luck... RV has been great this year and for anyone to say he is only in the lead like he is because of others' misfortune... well, they made the bed with crashes, they have to sleep in it.

I agree with Unc, if the belief is that everyone has their "bad" race, then I believe going down in the first turn and going from last to 4th is how a champion turns their "bad" race into a points salvaging, helluva come from behind save. You believe any other of those typical 22 guys in the main could have done that ? Dungey ? Barcia? Kenny? even James ?

I'd still like to see Feld and the teams look into revamping the points system towards something that would encourage a rider in RV's current position to sometimes just go for the win and not worry about the points.
They could change it so every other race is used towards the championship points and the remainder are straight
up purse races, or allow a rider to throw out his worst finish.
I don't know the industry but like I said before we have 6 races to go and people are already looking
forward to the MX season, it just seems as though changes could be considered.

You do realize he WON just last week?! And at one point in the race he was up by about 16 seconds!

RV is getting it done with consistency. On most nights he hasn't been the best rider. The RV2 fanboyz will argue but it's true. This SX season he hasn't been walking away from the field at all...except for Daytona last week. Both BB4 and RV2 were in another zip code at the end of the race. He's taken a page from RD with, if its there take it, if not don't push it. It's working out in spades. I will say he looked a little agro in Jim Holleys "on the podium" interview last night for supercrossonline.com

More like RC then RD. RC won his last 2 championships without a single win after Daytona. Championship means you won
the season, a win means you won the night. Right now RV1 is in championship mode, and JS7 is in win mode, he said so
last night. 4 championships in a row is legendary, a win is really cool, but has been done by many riders. And anyone who
thinks RV1 doesn't have more in the tank then he showed last night in only fooling themselves. Forget the ifs, when he needs
a win he will go for it and if he doesn't he probably will settle for a top 3 just like RC use to do. Go RV1Woohoo
I get what your saying & im an RV fan, But another lap or two & RD would of been all over him. RD was catching him & know way was he riding for points. RV has never rode for points.

Should get a few points for heat race wins etc.

Every championship that RV enters is his to lose before the first gate drops. The only thing the guy does is win championships. Aside from the 2 years he was out due to the knee he only lost a couple titles, 1 to Canard in East Coast and the other????

If he finishe's the season it is with the big #1 on the plate.

I'm specifically talking about him going for a win over JS when the risk vs. reward is acceptable to the points leader. San Diego and Detroit were 2 good examples of him taking the points as opposed to the risks of going after James.
I just see it as a missed opportunity from the fans perspective.
Sounds to me like it's also happen in the past with RC.
