I am restoring my '94 CR250 back to its oem look. In doing so I ordered a new oem honda front fender, part no. 61101-ml3-600zb -nuclear red, trying to match the pinkish red oem honda plastic that came with the bike, see pic below. Problem is the fender that was delivered doesn't come close to matching the rest of the oem plastic I have. Further the new fender that arrived has a part no. that doesn't match the ordered part no. above. The new fender is stamped with 61100-ka3-7310 and is a darker red than the rest of the plastic I have, which is more a neon pinkish-red or fluorescent red color. But the bag the new fender came in was labeled as 61101-ml3-600zb??? I'm hoping the delivered part was the wrong part and honda didn't change the color? Can anyone confirm these part nos - when google searching 61100-ka3-7310 I came up with some late '80s crs? Though this part is not the blood red color of my '88 cr125. At this point I'm not really sure what nuclear red is supposed to look like?

I've attached a couple pics. I installed the oem plastic that came with the bike, rear fender, left side cover and both radiator shrouds - they are honda parts. The purple and white plastic in the before pics, except the air box & gas tank, are acerbic parts.
Some really sweet restored bikes here! It's inspired me to keep this bike and give it some much needed attention.
Any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Im doing a 96 McGrath replica atm and used a polisport fluro red front guard and it looks pretty good I think. Below is a pic of the guard.
Off the topic but that background in your pictures looks amazing!!!! Wish I had a view like that from my yard!

I bought a full Polisport kit for my 95 and the first time I lifted the bike off the stand, it put a big white stress mark in the rear fender. The fit was poor, and I ended up giving most of it away.

Red and a little less Flourescent and the 96 continued that trend. The problem is all of the early Flourescent plastic is NLA
from Honda and when you order plastic now, you're getting a supercede which could range from 95-99 for the front fender
and up to 96 for the rear, because it was all lumped into the same color code by Honda. I ran into the same problem with my
93 resto. I have a brand new front and rear fender that were ordered as "93" replacements, but were obviously from a later
year because they don't match my NOS shroud or side panels.
You have two choices depending on how much of a stickler you are. You can carry on a search for NOS from various sources
and probably pay a lot of money for the real deal from Honda, or you can contact UFO and buy the exact same Flourescent
Red colored plastic that came on the bike originally. The only downside to going with UFO is with the Right side panel. UFO,
like all the other aftermarket offerings, used a thru mount for the rubber silencer guards. What this means to you, is it's easy
to tell your Right side panel is aftermarket from the the two indentions.
I'm attaching a picture of my '93 so that you can see how good of a match the UFO plastic is. The seat and rear fender are
both NOS. The side panel (with the indentions) and shrouds are UFO - perfect color match. The second picture shows the
plastic I'm using to return the bike to "showroom" condition. All of it is Honda and looks pretty much the same in the picture,
but when I mounted it up, the front and rear fenders were obviously a different shade than the rest. I'm going with a UFO
front and rear fender for a fix.

The color history is most helpful! I kinda suspected something like that after coming across a few forum threads from you and others but not as concisely put as you have here. Your pics are great references to have!
Since i still plan on riding this bike and its not a planned historical restore, i think the ufo plastic should suffice. Will keep my eye out for oe plastic though for future needs. Especially if Redrcr34 finds his old plastic!
