hi guys the fork seals on my 04 rm 144 are blown and they have been going bad more often every time which makes me think the dust seals are bad.

so i will change the dust seals and the fork seals is there an aftermarket company that sells good seals or should i just go oem?

Get the kit that includes all the bushing.
Putting new oil seals around clapped out bushings and dust seals is like polishing brass on the Titanic.

Get the Honda shop to cross the parts to Honda pieces. Buy all the bushings and sliders plus the oil seals and dust seals. The Honda parts last longer and they're typically cheaper.

OEM seals are probably the best. Most of the big suspension companies buy seals from NOK at a really cheap price. NOK supplies all the seals for Japanese bikes. However, NOK is not allowed to sell the seals that are of a proprietary design to anyone else but the manufacturers. I don't know if the big companies realize this or not... most of them are motivated by $$$ anyway.

I order all my Showa seals in bulk through a Honda shop. KYB stuff I get from KYB (through Enzo)

The synergy seals are pretty good. They definitely last longer but I feel more stiction with them.

so i surfed the net and found out the oem bushings, dustseals and forkseals would be roughly 130 usd while a pivot works kit containing the same items is around 75 bucks are they of similar quality? if it was your bike would you go oem or pivot works?

thanks for your help.
