That wire wheel job is not good.
I know the wire wheel that I started with was way to strong I'm working it out. Not to to worried about it I'll just have to spend the extra time.

No offense man but that motor is hideous. If I were you here is what I would do. Get a soda blaster and plug the holes that need plugging. Blast that bitch until she looks uniform. Then go over it with a maroon scotch brite pad and wd40. That is unless you plan on tearing it down. If you plan on tearing it down then I would get the cases blasted and do each piece individually with scotch brite and wd. The only other option would be to paint it. See the RMZ 200sx build thread for painting example. If that motor is in that bad of shape I would NEVER ride that thing until tearing it completely down and having it gone through! Could be the difference between ending up in the E.R. or not! Good Luck!

Yeah, a good blast job will go a long way. Go to harbor freight and get a $30 bag of soda and a $15 air nozzle and go to town. That will make it look new-ish again. And it's water soluble.

Hell yea man! I by no means was trying to offend you. I have done what you are doing now to a 250f motor and was just trying to share my experience. Sorry if I came acrossed like a dickhead! Looking forward to see this thing finished! The look of the bike you are copying is freaking legit! Its definitely moving in the right direction. New hardware will make a huge difference also. That or get the stuff you already have replated.

Where can I find those graphics? They look great I have a 05 rm250. Just got fresh top and bottom end and Hinson clutch. Tearing down for powder coating next. I'm loving those graphics though! Beautiful build by the way!

Yes that kit only had shroud and swing arm decals. It's not a full kit. I'm looking for the exact one you have with numbers and backgrounds with fender and fork graphics. Maybe they are all sold out.

Keep it going man. One question man why the Rockstar graphics? Just about every RM i see has the Rockstar graphics sorta like Kawi and Monster just an observation. Have you thought about any other graphics? Any way don't mind my nonsense do whatever the hell you want and good job so far. Don't get me wrong those are kickass graphics.

Hey Metz what seat and seat cover do you have? It looks super cool! I only 5'10" but my 06 rm 250 feels a little cramped going from sitting to standing. I might try a tall seat to see how it feels.

Are you tearing into the bottom end? Just curious.
What and how do you clean the engine? What tools, cleaners, etc.?
I'm waiting on a return call for a '03 KX250 that I might pickup. Looking to do the same thing and build a decent bike to ride out of it.

SORRY! posted before I saw your other posts.
