Come on down Old Man I have a spot for you we might have to find you a bike though. I hope to make it to a race sometime this year I haven't seen my little guy ride in one for a few years now due to my work schedule ( in fact I think the last time I saw him was in Brush, CO 2 years ago). Oh well I get to see him practice this weekend in Puerto Plata and just seeing a 2 smoke turn laps puts a smile on this dads face!
Would love to, Do they have a VET class?
I would be sure to have a jersey that had "Castro" on the back in case I hit that hard concrete ground at my age

LMFAO!! Screw that.....If i was Jeff I would of done the same thing. Idiot shouldn't stand in front him acting like he's going to stop him from going out for practice or whatever. Probably the highlight of that flaggers life. What would of really been great......if the dude fell over backwards and Jeff finished his practice start! HAHA!! .....spun that SOB right out the back!

Paul937 : Dude.....thanks for that awesome write up man!! Really cool hearing racing stories like that.

Seriously Jeffro?

You would have ignored a guy holding you at the gate and launched your bike into his knees for telling you you can't go out?

I would have continued to swing that flag. To bad we can;t get the whole story, but with his track record I am willing to bet there is a little lack of respect going on again. (shocker)

I watched all these videos, and honestly it looks to me like Jeff got a little tired in the race, the local hero passed him and he freaked out and crashed. Brake check, on the face of the jump? LMAO.
Andy Harrington is def an expert on the topic of fading and getting taken out for sure a case of takes one to know one.

I have no idea who you are, or where you are from, but....

You are 100%, absolutely, correct.

Been there and done that many, many times. However, the only thing you may not be correct on is..... I didn't need anyone to take me out. I usually did that on my own.

Regis......seriously man , what's with all the lectures you have been giving me? Not just here but in the PM's as well? I may of not ever gotten to be as fast as you were back in the day , but I've been in this sport long enough to of cut my teeth in it. 35yrs + as far as that goes.

What I said about Jeff up above.....Do you think I was 100% serious? No.....of course not! But at that very moment I'm thinking Jeff was thinking he was supposed to be going out for practice....then some dipshit stands in front of him like as if he's playing around or whatever........Jeff was there to race. I don't think he was there to fuck around. The other big bikes seemed to of thought they were supposed to go out for practice as well.

Bottom line.......if these idiot's that put this race on can't find the logic in maybe getting a translator to an event like this , so the riders can actually figure out what the hell is going on......then that's their problem. Am I going to sit here and condemn Jeff for doing what he did...NO! Because we don't know what happened leading up to that point. That idiot could of been harassing him before any of that happened and Jeff' was probably fed up with it.

Who friggin' knows?

You know I've always dug you Regis , and this is in no way a reply in wanting to start an argument.......but please don't lecture me on my opinions. I have my own.....even though they don't always agree with everyone else on the board.

Lectures? Really?

Pm's ? (plural?)

I sent you one PM and that was done just to make sure you knew I wasn't disrespecting your opinion on another topic a while ago. I reached out just to clarify. I have done this just a couple times to people I actually respect on this board when I feel they are getting the wrong idea about what I am saying. It doesn't matter how fast anybody is? Have I EVER said anything about my opinion being better than yours? Our opinions differ on this and other things I am sure. big deal. IN this instance, you are giving Jeff the benefit of the doubt, and I am not. We both don't know the whole story. IN MY OPINION, it doesn't matter where you are at, unless you are in danger you don't launch your bike at another human being who is standing in front of you without expecting consequences.

You posted a thought and I posted in response. I find what Jeff did as BS. So we disagree, you act like I have you on the back of a tailgate pointing my finger at you like a 12 year old? Jeez....

I don't know who I disagree with and agree with I just read and post. I don't take notes. (except for Insider347, he seems angry for some reason and has a boner for me)

I was bench racing. Sorry, I won't disagree with your opinion anymore, I'll take a mental note. my bad. I'll not respond to your posts and if I feel you are getting the wrong idea about what I am saying, I won PM you out of respect. Point taken.
Seriously?

You guys need therapy or a life.

Sorry it was dumb to try to reply to the haters, nevermind. Cool video though! man it would be nerve racking with all those folks reaching trying to grab you your handle bars or whatever. Way to go on ramming the Ompa Lompa flagger Jeff! We will go back down there and kick his ass!

Wow^ revenge? I don't think I need any revenge, even on that old beat up stock Suzuki that was borrowed and had blown out tires I was able to throw down 113-114 lap times where raynears fastest was a 115.83 and he was on his own fresh bike. Not to be rude but he wasn't much of a factor for me until the people at the track started standing in my line throwing crap at me. If we must have a second showdown I say he comes to Texas and we just have a race face to face on equal equipment.

you and raynier are in the same lap time before the race. and her fresh bike is on miami, not as good as yours.
you're a great rider, i remember when you ride supercross, was very fan of you. but you trusted so much here . I do not want to create enemies on this, but i was there and everyone knows that, you and ray was in the same laps time..
i want to see you here again, in corosito mx park, jarabacoa, is so diferent and hope the fans don't going crazy again.

if you win the other race i'll give you a big trophy "PLATANOS" i think you knows about platanos, hahahahhaa

Why don't y'all come to Alabama and race without you stupid idiots throwing stuff at Jeff, I can use you for trotline bait after the race. Of course I doubt a catfish would bite your stinking butt, but I will give it a try.

Gonzo, a racer like me knows what lap times people are running because it's the beneficial factor of who is the underdog and who is the man to beat. I had lap times on all my laps and all of raynears laps the 2 days of practice and sorry to say it he wasn't on my level. In the race you can see that's pretty clear and probably the reason why the crowd became so crazy doing what they were doing to me. I hate calling it like it is but here in America on a real track he's gonna need another 4 seconds a lap to run with me, especially if he doesn't have help from a crowd standing in my lines and reaching out hitting my levers. We could go back and fourth about this on here but that's all I got to say, if he feels what I'm saying is incorrect then let's set up a day to go ride together.

Jeff.....I gotta ask man.........what the heck made you want to go down there and race anyways? Seems a little sketchy with the way the crowd acts and so forth. And "would you" plan on going back there again?

Hell ya I'd go back! I went down there to race, I was told I would be racing against a few top riders from the D.R. so I knew it would be a good race. I was also told the fans are one of a kind and that it would be a once in lifetime experience. The owner of the track was my mechanic and I got to ride his bike and stay at his house and have dinner with his family. It was a great experience but it had it's times when I was a little worried because we couldn't really go out unless I had a few people with guns on them incase something happened. Thankfully we never ran into any problems. I won't lie tho a few times I would just leave on the scooter and go driving on the streets to see the culture and it was fun because everyone was always waving and yelling Alessi. I liked it and had a lot of fun, I did feel like Kenny powers at times but it was worth the trip and I would go back again.

Thanks jeffro, only reason I would want to go back is because the guy who owns the track and had me come race was an awesome guy that wanted the best for me. He worked on my bike at 5 am every morning making changes to the bike to get it better everyday. His family was very nice and made me feel at home.

Maybe you bozo's would get more riders to race down there if you didn't throw things at them and stand out in the middle of the fucking track huh?

Watching the video I posted in the very first post in this thread......you guys can't run a real race.

And Bravo to Jeff for even wanting to go back to that shit hole!

i'm not defending the fans action. thes crazy ass motherfuckers trampled me when i was there. i said in a local post, i dont go anymore to another race here if the FDM not solve the problem.

i just saying. Raynear is fast like jeff. he just need some help in the us
Ray does look to be a great rider for sure......no slamming on him from me. My point was mainly pointed at the fans. Throwing things and running out onto the track is a racers worst nightmare. These guys ( any racer! ) has a hard enough time trying to ride the bike.....without dodging people and certain objects.....ya know?

Post a reply to: Jeff Alessi and Ray mejia.....crazy racing here.
