No sarcasm. I'm in the market and I'm pretty sure that this is a steal...

In my opinion that does not qualify as a "steal". I would say it is at least a few hundred over what I would pay actually.

Every KTM that is less than 2 years old is usually over 6k from what I've seen. I love the 300s, and I haven't seen any this new for that cheap. Are they cheaper than this in CA? I have some family over there and I could potentially go over there if they're cheap enough.

To be honest I haven't ever owned a KTM, not that I wouldn't. In fact, I've recently been trying to decide between a ktm150 or a yz. I just have a hard time thinking of paying that much for a 3 year old bike that looks like it has been ridden quite a bit. As far as your question, doesn't seem that people around here that sell their newer KTM's. Either they like them too much to sell or there just are not a lot out there. I can tell you when I go in the dealership there are usually left over off road models and the SX models are the hard to find ones here, at least for 2-strokes.

Around here that's a good deal. I know the seller and race with him.. Good guy. If I didn't have a 12, I would buy it. I know the shop he bought from and took care of it for him.. Craig Decker has been doing some awesome suspension on the Ktm's around here...he is pretty meticulous ..

You're right Pete, go by a bike from a non racer that never maintained it. With a top end and crank bearing about to seize, rusty ol bearings and warped wheels and never had the suspension serviced!! I used to think that way too until, some wiser folks pointed out the fallacy in that idea with those same words!!! He like me is in his forties, so not like Barcia has been revving the piss out of it!!

average price for that bike, but that is the best 300xc they ever made for the woods. No linkage, 6 speed, CC forks, great engine......

This might qualify for the dumb post of the week on Vital, but is that the same Craig Decker that used to race SX/MX back in the day???

Yeah, he is one in the same. I met him when he first got here. Really nice guy and was quite humble when we talked about his career.
