Just giving you shit. You are having a lot of fun in different threads and highly opinionated. I read humor in a lot of your stuff, figured you would see the same. Carry on.

That may be but how does that apply in this instance? It seems the track wanted something for nothing ie, a gate fee for no event?.............For the record I have been on both sides of the issue. Most tracks fail due to poor management and prep. In this case it looks like the race wasn't promoted well enough?................

Not exactly. Your could have had a rain check and raced w/o paying any more money at the next event (and I'll bet if you took 5 minutes and spoke with those in charge about a problem you had with that date you would have been able to use it later), or gotten a cash refund like everyone who asked did, or you could practice for the same amount of money that it would cost to practice were it not a race day.

Help me understand how this is "something for nothing"...

His initial post indicates that he did ask for a refund, but apparently you guys expect him to stay out there and chase his money around all day.

This track didn't cancel the race due to weather or other reasons out of the promoters control, they canceled due to low turnout. To me, that should equal a refund, no questions asked.

And he was offered a refund but refused, so that's obviously not his motive for starting this thread.

According to Team Green, he was offered the refund after starting this thread and then e-mailing. He's also stated that he's satisfied with the response he's received from CMC. Should he have handled things differently? Perhaps, but it's always easy to say that in hindsight, isn't it? Doesn't mean he has ulterior motives. If you look at his initial post, he presented his account of what transpired in a matter of fact way and was simply seeking the opinions of others. Was there some vitriol in his posts that I missed that would lead me to believe he had some other motives?

As for the refusal (which he's neither confirmed or denied, as far as I know), again, perhaps it wasn't the money that he was upset about but more the principle of the matter and the way it was handled. I'm a bit surprised that you aren't able to understand that.

Wondering if some here don't have a similar ax to grind as the OP might have...

It was handled per their policy. He was either too lazy, or too ignorant to realize that. I have no pity for him....
It wasn't like a owner or promoter told him that he couldn't have his money back and had he asked them, he would have had his $30 back and been happy...although that seems doubtful.

just read the initial post and then the last page... assuming i'm missing a lot of info inbetween but don't really care.

i saw they didn't give an initial gate entry refund, but did they offer a rain-check AND then no entry fee the next time he went out? if so, then big deal on them not returning the entry fee for that day.

however, if they didn't refund the entry fee then gave him a rain check and are going to charge another entry fee when he comes back, then that's wrong.

anyway, here's some titties
