Saddleback's Bonsai Hill - Who and When / Any Stories?

I was going through the attack and found this shot of Saddleback's Bonsai downhill. I remember that I was so excited when I got the holeshot that I kept on the gas going over the lip halfway down. Almost went over the bars when I bottomed out at the base of the hill. Can anyone remember the date or event and some of the guys in the photo.

I wish I knew what it was like. Kind of. I also raced at Saddleback but the lower classes never ran down it.

I remember going to a Golden State or Transcal and Magoo was hitting a little lip at the top and jumping to the bottom. It was crazy for the times..

Yeah, I remember seeing Magoo jumping from the lip to the bottom. Thanks for reminding me. That move would be even crazy today :-)
