Anyone have some experience cleaning up chromed exhaust pipes, my FMF is a little crusty/rusty on the head pipe. Not horrible but definitely needs some TLC. Ive given it a quick going over with SOS pad and that worked ok, but still needs more.

On another note ive been trying to find something equivalent to Eagle one Mag wheel cleaner up here in Canada and apparently it was pulled off the shelves due to its ingredients. No longer available in Canada they say, and im thinking that the soda blasting is the same thing, nobody ive checked with seems to know anything about it........

Try a bit of plain old tin foil. Just tear a piece off, fold it over a few times, and rub the pipe as if you were sanding it.

It has worked fairly well on 40 year old chrome on one of my vintage mini bikes.

Oxalic acid will lose the rust. Try Barkeepers Friend.
