Alessi couldn't even race a local event with out drama. I was stand at staging when they were pulling numbers for gate pick and before alessi even picks a number he gives he mechanic the bike and precedes to get the gate he wants regardless the number he pulls. Wes Kain and a few other riders take notice and a few words were exchanged with the mechanic and they went about there way. The 450 class, alessi killed it! The 250, not so much. 1st moto he got a mid pack start, but with 20 minutes plus 2 laps he should had been top three. Heard he didn't line up moto 2 because of set up issues.
Happens at most non AMA races where the big hitters just grab the gate they want, while the locals pick whats left, even at some AMA races the fast B and well known A/pros usually get the lucky number with the first few picks...they usually check out anyways does not change the results much if any....

First off, sounds like you had a great day. I always have appreciated Mike's determination. He's come back from injury more than once. A separated shoulder didn't deter him from motocross racing.

Yet, there are plenty of nut junkies who don't remember this racer who gave up on a motocross career after suffering the same injury.

Josh Grant hasn't did shit ever since Tony put "The Universe" curse on him..... LOL!! RV2 banking millions while Alessi racing for peanuts at Hog Heaven 10 years after turning Pro. Damn shame.

Sounds like cool day for you, congrats.
I do find it odd that most of the top guys are testing and training for SX and 800 is riding a " big " local race. They really don't have much time off, I guess he is in off season mode still.Racers race and 800 is a racer.

That's what Wes was saying, what rider there is going to go up to mike and say I want that gate, I drew first pick? No one. Alessi probably still would had won no matter what gate pick.

They had qualifiers for gate pick and mike won the qualifier and would be first gate pick so he would have just pushed his bike right up.

800 is out racing for the fans and I was the one who put the curse on Josh Grant, also you're the only one who's a damn shame.
