What if the Joker Lane is a Short Cut

What if instead of taking longer, the Joker Lane is a shortcut that can only be used once in the race?

Would you wait until the last lap and save it or use it during a battle to gain the advantage?

I believe this idea got brought up in either Joker lane thread 8 or 9.

Personally, I'm waiting for the "Queen of Hearts" lane where every rider has to dodge a singing Juice Newton.

It would make a hell of a lot more sense.

It would be an advantage to take a faster joker lane and forgetting it would only hurt that rider and no disqualifications would be required, unless some eager racer took it more than 1x.

Leats just have both..Two joker lanes....One shortcut one not. one you have to take and one not. One penalizes you for missing and one not...LOL...what a joke...

Hmmmm what about 2 joker lanes ... one is a short cut and the other one is the long way around. But you are not allowed to take both in the same lap.

I think we could write a rulebook purely about the joker lane

YES! That would definitely shake things up! Make the whole track a joker lane, then add a "normal" part that you have to take once during the race. The "normal" part wouldn't be slower or faster than the joker lane track, it would just be normal. Meaning it would take the same amount of time to go through it as opposed to not going through it. BRILLIANT!!

How about the top 3 riders can't take it...only 4th place and back can use it as many times as they want. Racing would be better and tighter. Think about it...
