True race craft there. I loved watching that. He never let up. I think he even psyched him into fucking up the Joker lane.

Always been the fastest but never the most consistent. I don't really care for him but he changed the sport when he invented the scrub and nobody can take that title away. Until A1 he's the man to beat!

seemed like he could step it up and shoot past rv whenever he wanted, amazing bike skills, maybe FMOTP but definitely BROTP (best rider on the planet).

Let us not be assholes about this...I'm just as pumped as any Stewie fan to see him ride like that, but damn, 1 step at a time people....it was one race.

Yeah heat race length motos aren't gonna get it done.

RV was reeling James in at will on a track surface that isn't his best... RV will stomp them again.

It never changed, Stewart was always the FMOTP, Villopoto and a few others have just been STTFMOTP (smarter than the fastest man on the planet) and FTTFMOTP (faster than the fastest man on the planet) on a regular basis.

Stewart looked great last night and I was glad to see it, but he has always done better of late in the shorter races. Time will tell.

In the first MEC race it was evident how much faster through the corners Villopoto was then Dungey, however in the second and third MEC races Stewart showed signs of old with fantastic cornering speed and the ability to pass in tough situations. Last night was as smooth combined with speed that Stewart has ridden in a very long time.

If Stewart keeps it up, it will help make next year's series even better because we know Dungey will be fast and consistent and Villopoto will be as fast and aggressive as usual.

Stew had the best lap in that race, but he wasn't fastest...he did ride smart. Joker lane or no, Stew rode the smarter race that time...20 laps no jokers involved, it will be a different story. Either way, he is the only one that puts up a fight....the guy invented the modern style...not many can say that they have changed the way people race motorcycles. It's about time that Stew gets the love that Dowd and Windam get....he might not be in this thing much longer, and the series won't be the same without him.

Stew went from real close to dead last to 8th in the first race as well. No small task on that track. FMOTP though? Seems like a bit of a stretch. And the dude is one of my all time favs.....

I love this. He set the fastest lap of the night, and won the event, but he wasn't fastest. Only on the internet!!

Some of you may want to take the lead of the #1 Stewart fanboy on planet earth, you'll notice Ralph never uttered FMOTP last night. Stewart rode great, let that speak for who was the best LAST NIGHT.

I saw a total of 30 laps last night... and for 20 of them, He was battling and won, with minimal mistakes...hmmm

I saw another ride kill it for 10 laps, and then throw it away in 9 laps... So therefor one rider doesn't have the 20 laps in him.... he has 19

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

James has never done well in Vegas. And James threw down faster laps and settled in. He had RV tonight and got him back easily.

seemed like he let rv by then passed him back at will, which got in villos head and caused him to miss joker then wad up bad, saw this at start of 013 sx when villo gets flustered he makes big mistakes, like when he crashed like 3 or 4 times in one of the races this year after a bad start...i think james may have exploited that weakness at mec. also rv wasn't really up to jumping over that table, he was scratching, he certainly doesn't have james ability to consistently clear those seemingly impossible gaps like james does.

Something about the TV show he had, but on a bike he's fun to watch, got style for days and is always the first to jump something that wasn't meant to be jumped

Just an FYI, that Vegas surface was not nearly as hard-packed as I'd seen it in the past.

Thought it was great Stew rode so well... would've been cool to see a battle all 3 motos, no matter who won. But, bragging rights bro?
