Dean Wilson Interview

Hey guys, we don't share much over here anymore, but I thought this interview we did with Deano could answer a lot of questions for you guys about where he's at heading into 2014. I love talking to this kid, and after this conversation, I was convinced we are going to see the old smiling Deano back in '14. A happy Deano has always been a winning Deano.

Good interview. I like Dean's attitude, and he could do a lot worse than having Ryno as his trainer too. The guy is an animal, like him or not...and knows about nutrition & training. With Tomac & Roczen out of the 250's this year indoors...DW might have a real chance at the title.

Good to see Dean's back and feeling good on the bike! Now my question is though, he says he's Ryno's primary focus, didn't he train Tomac last year? Anybody know what he'll be doing now? Don't mean to hijack the thread.

Thanks for checking out the interview guys. Yeah, Mickolobe Deano does sound confident, but what told me more was how relaxed and fun he sounded. I've had a few long conversations with Deano, at different points in his career, and whether or not he's having fun seems to weigh a lot on his results. I know that's true with a lot of these kids, but I think especially with Dean. When I talked to him last year, after the JWR fallout, I left the conversation thinking he might struggle in '13, but I left this interview thinking he's in real a good place. I don't have Hank Thrill's moto psychologist skills, but he seemed very content with where he's at , extremely humble and very driven to get back to winning Championships.

Good read as always.
I for one, am really happy to see Deano back in the 250s for another year. I think it would be a huge mistake to move up after all the off time. I want Deano in full force when he steps up.
