I always say our street bike group has more over fifty than under 40. We've seen a few cars do some stupid things. Maybe we should have run them down and broke out their windows. It's all about the group you roll with.

Screw those crotch rocket riding punks.

Not screw "all" crotch rocket riders. Referring to that particular biker gang in the video I would think. And also to any other gang that conducts themselves in the same fashion.

Show a little respect, you usually get a little respect. Pretty simple.
Apparently he failed English in school. The subject to which I was speaking to is clearly pointed out.

"I have zero giveashit for punkass street bike trash."

It didnt say;

"I have zero giveashit for respectful street bike riders."

Or;

I have zero giveashit for ALL street bike riders."

I have people pull out in front of me all the time, I have people move over into my lane when I am in it, I have people do a lot of things that could get me hurt. BUT, I *expect* that to happen and I am ready for it at all times. I do not get upset in the least when this happens because I do know I am harder to see and people make mistakes. When I ride on the street I feel that if I get hurt on my bike it will be 100% my fault. If you want to stay alive on the street you should take that type of attitude and take more of the responsibility and do not rely on someone else to keep you safe.

I do ride like an idiot a lot "on the back roads" and I do understand I am increasing the risk of something happening. I also realize that someone will ocassionally get pissed with the way I ride and flip me off, swerve at me, etc. I don't run these people down and beat on their car, that's only going to get me hurt (if I am lucky), or killed. These groups go out looking to make trouble and when they get it they escalate it to what you saw in the video. If the SUV did something wrong they should have taken the license and called it into the cops.

They had no interest in doing that because their moto is "FTP" (Fuck The Police). Many of the people that ride in the ROC (Ride of the Century) here wear FTP T-shirts on thier rides where they shut down the interstates doing their stunts, running from the police riding down streets and sidewalks the wrong way, ignoring every traffic signal. I honestly have absolutely no sympathy for anything that happens to them.

Your first paragraph is 100% the correct viewpoint. It is the best way to stay alive. I have had people look right at my and still move right in on my space. Crazy. They seem to know I am there when I have a talk with them. Smile

Someone get the full story, yet?

The one about the cool-guy Road-Warriors terrifying a family in an SUV & Brake-Checking a
5000# Rover with a Street-Bike...?

Anyone get any info about this group, it's size, how they block an entire Hi-Way or Blvd @ their will?

It's going to get interesting!

So just to be clear, if a driver got impatient because his progress was being impeded during the "2 million biker rally" in DC a few weeks back, he'd have been justified in running into them?

I think if those bikers force him to stop in the middle of the road, and then try and enter his vehicle (with his wife and child in the car)...it isn't a stretch to assume he rightly felt his life was threatened...and then he would be justified in running them over to protect him and his family.

But if they are just impeding his progress...not a chance. Call the police or take a different route.

What I saw looked like attempted murder. Pulled him out of the car and started cutting him up.

Are you of the belief that they simply stopped in the middle of the road and tried to force their way into his car? If so, then that explains some of the confusion......

On another note, watching the attorney for the bikers lie on TV was pretty funny. The battery just happened to die when the beating began. Ok.

Reminds me of something I heard on the radio or saw on a movie or something. What do you call someone who tries to help someone get away with a crime before he's arrested? An accomplice. What do you call someone who tries to help someone get away with a crime after he's arrested? A lawyer.

No offense to lawyers, of course!

That isn't what happened here. A bike pulled in front on him and laid on his brakes. SUV dude couldn't stop in time and bumped him. Bikers proceed to slash his tires, beat on the vehicle and try to enter it. SUV dude takes off to protect himself and his family and happens to run over one of the dumb asses standing in his way. SUV dude called the cops. Biker dudes said fuck the cops. He stopped a second time and again the biker dudes tried to pull him out of his vehicle so he took off again. A third time he stopped and the dumb shits finally got him out and whipped his ass. I'm surprised they didn't rape his wife and kill his kid.

Well, I'm sure the SUV driver did something to aggravate them. BUT, no matter what he did to them, it did not justify them trying to gain access to his car. THEY should have called the police if he broke the law or put them in danger.

But, no matter what he did to them...once they forced him to stop in the middle of the highway, and tried to get in his car...I feel he was justified in doing whatever he had to do to protect himself and his family.

The rider that was run over would not have been put in the situation he is in now, facing paralysis etc if he would have observed one item. HIS DRIVERS LICENSE WAS REVOKED. He knew it as he had been arrested in May for having a revoked license until 2017 He has been cited over 16 times so he should not have been driving.
The cop is history as he was arrested on at least 3 serious charges.

Seriously.

If he "laid on the brakes" with one hand off the bars, I'd expect his body position to change at least slightly. There'd be at least a little brake dive on the bike, etc.

The guys on bikes were definitely being jerks, no doubt about that. But hitting someone just because they are a jerk isn't usually approved of, last I'd heard.

I don't know if they were trying to gain access to his vehicle after he hit the motorcycle or not. The video certainly isn't clear enough to see and the time between him hitting the bike and flooring it over the other bikes is about 20-25 seconds.

If the whole thing really started by the SUV purposely or even accidentally hitting the bikers and then tried to flee and that is why they tried to stop it (the SUV) and detain him and rough him up - then obviously would change a lot. IMO
(that was a long sentence I'm out of breath lol)

If he hit the guy on purpose why did he stop? There were 50 bikes swarming him, that's gonna pretty much freak out most people and he might have been looking around him to see what everyone else was going to do. The guy swerved right in front of him and hit his brakes. It is so obvious the SUV driver wasn't even charged with anything. They slashed his tires to try and prevent him from going anywhere. They already had him stopped, yet not one of them called the cops, except for the guy in the SUV. Come on man.

How often are you this far back on your bike with your hand on your hip while braking hard? I doubt he intentionally hit the guy, but that's not really important.

You're right. What's really important is a dumb ass with no drivers license pulled in front of a 5,000 SUV, hit his brakes and got ran over. I don't feel sorry for him. And here's the same bunch on another one of their rides just minding their own business and obeying all the laws and riding safely:

And here's the video of the brake check:

https://youtu.be/OVK77U8bgKc

And yes, I would consider that a hard brake check and yes I can slow down on my motorcycle with one hand very quickly, just like that dude did.

And if they TRIED to pull him out of his vehicle and beat his ass the 2nd time he stopped and they DID pull him out of his vehicle and beat his ass the 3rd time he stopped why is it such a stretch for you to believe they tried to pull him out of his vehicle and beat his ass the FIRST time he stopped? Just because the camera is a little farther away and it's harder to make out than the other 2 stops?

They are ALL thugs. These guys eat their own. The club member that posted the video, who is cooperating with the cops is crying because he is getting death threats! It is a den of thieves, they have no respect for anyone, including themselves.

Yes, your brilliance is clearly evident! Sign up bro!

While I haven't looked up any youtube videos on street gangs or seen any in person, I can guarantee you, calling every rider on that ride, a punkass, is like calling every 2 wheel motorcycle rider a punkass!

Punkass!

In the videos I saw nearly every rider on the ride was doing stupid shit and being a dumb ass and breaking many laws. If you were a rider on that ride who wasn't breaking the law and participating in it why would you even be on the ride and associating/condoning such activity. As far as I'm concerned you would be a dumb ass (or punkass, or whatever term you wish to use) by association.
