Keep my family in your thoughts please

Lastnight, on my way home I received a call that my grandmother just passed away. She and my grandfather pretty much raised me as my parents were out running personal companies. She left my grandfather behind. The part I worry the most about is not knowing how he will cope, seeing how he just lost his partner of 54 years. He is in great physical health for being 77, but I don't know mentally how he will deal with it.

Sorry for your loss . Sounds similar what happened to my grandpa. He was dating another nice lady in about 6 months or so after GM was gone. I really think that helped.

Thanks everyone, he is in a small town, but who knows maybe he can find him friend (atleast) to hang out with some.

Sorry for your loss.

My grandfather passed away just after their 50th anniversary. That was over 20 years ago, and grandma is still going strong at 90. They had a great life together, and the memories have helped get her through.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my grandmother 7 years ago. We were wondering how my grandfather would go on with her. He lived longer than we ever expected and passed away last Nov. But he lived his life to the fullest after my grandmother passed away. He still drove and went to his Boy Scout meetings.

My prayer is that you would find a new peace through this trial. I lost my father earlier this year and he & mom were married 54-years as well. Was grandpa married in `54?

You will be there for your Grandfather like he and your grandmother were for you. The fact that you are concerned for him speaks volumes for your family.
