I enjoyed the story. Even in the moment of tragedy the man inspired millions for decades

and it was pretty cool that Stacey peralta produced it

That was cool.
I accidentally started watching it and couldn't switch the channel. I've never been into surfing, even growing up in So Cal. Was a motohead & had no interest.

But that show was really cool and shows how awesome and dangerous the BIG WAVE surfing in Hawaii can be. Eddie was a natural and made it look easy.

Who is Stacey?

I enjoyed it. Always good to hear stories like that. Seemed like the guy definitely was a philanthropist....showed a very good heart. I wonder if that's a trait of their culture? Oh, I missed what happened when he confronted the arrogant Aussie surfers...did he try to befriend them? Made me chuckle how his brothers were popping up everywhere in the story. I was wondering whether that family tried to populate Hawaii by themselves.....go Dad! ....lol.

Stacey Peralta is one of the original Dogtown Z-boys skaters. He owned Powell Peralta skateboards that sponsored Tony Hawk back in the 80s. Stacey brought skating to another level along with Jay Adams, and Toney Alva, check out Lords of Dogtown, great movie
