Found The Solution To Air Forks!!

I got a new crf 450 at carls cycle in boise today and it had this air fork thing on it that connects the air in both forks?? it was on the bike when I bought it, theyre stuff is actually pretty sick. they make em for kawis and Hondas. this might help you guys with new kawi or honda 450s, thought id share. their website is www.airprofork.com.

that's the thing that sucks, but I always make sure my forks are clean to keep a fork seal from blowing... but rather than having to dick around with both forks its nice to just check one

ive heard that when ppl check these things its rare for them to have the same amount of air in them after you ride them.

Once Showa gets there SFF Air forks figured out and friendly for the public it will be the way to go with only one fork having air in it just like a mountain bike fork and the other handling the damping chores. The biggest problem with air suspension is avoiding a hammock effect with the suspension wanting to stay in mid stroke due to to little air pressure to make them soft on small stuff, yet the air pressure ramping up and making it to harsh in the last 1/3 of travel. Showa is working on this with 2 and 3 air chambers. this way you have a small low pressure chamber for initial movement once that chamber compresses it works the second chamber crating your mid stroke air spring, then compresses the final chamber for bottoming out resistance.

Fantastic design just a little over the top for the average everyday rider and racer.
