It sucks for De Reuver really. He does seem like a good sort.He rode a great first moto.He came in with high hopes and was confident as he should be.He's catching more flack than he deserves IMO because of some delusional fans, which isn't fair to Marc. I'm sure he is licking his wounds now as he saw how the intensity and fitness level of US racing is a step above the GP's. Congrats to Cooper, BTW. Awesome dude. As for "National Pride"? Is that the same pride where you tear down the stadium, throw chairs, bottles, and sticks at players, refs, and police, and burn the place when your team loses?.......or wins?Laughing Oh,and that you don't see any women or children at sporting events because it isn't safe.Oh,and that great beer that you cut with a knife is so potent it rots your teeth and makes 4's look like 10's? Just sayin'.Wink

How many were hurt in that Detroit game? How many were involved? It is rare when it happens here and not even nearly the volume of injuries and devastation. Not even close.

I've got lovely gnashers and an American chick Tongue I get your point but how then do you explain a 40 + part timer getting 5th in the 2nd moto or Cooper coming from down under and doing what he's been doing all year ? Or Hamblin (5th O/A today - G.P's ?? ) or Clarke( 9th first lites moto - last week at British Nationals 16th O/A ? ) ? I'm sitting on the fence on all this I'd just like to know ....

NAtional pride is ok , national arrogance is different alot of US people think they are superior to other countries it is arrogant, there is a huge lack of respect and knowlesge about GP racing in the US. When we say De Reuver can podium and go 2-2 we get called arrogant?! its so ironic.... even more so when Marc proved he had that speed. I love US racing I hate the arrogance and disrespect of riders not in the series when they are jsut as good as the top US factory guys. The nationals are not better than the GPs they are similar de Reuver, Clarke and BArr proved that today. A top rider will be a top rider in either series.

In no other country would there have been an outcry if De Reuver had said he wanted a podium in the Belgian/ british series for example ... you guys took it bad becasue you feel you are superior to to GPs and he is thinking he can come from what you falsely perceived as an inferior standard of racing to ur premier series in the world and podium... Respect is a 2 way street every1 respects US racing outside america that is not reciprocated however....

For example you guys will say RV is light years better than AC - we say it is close and AC could beat him too... we get called arrogant... ironic
Having the speed in bursts is not the same as being able to run a full moto at speed. Conditioning also plays the biggest factor in racing (but you knew this) I think there are a lot of GP riders who have the potential to succeed brilliantly in USA Racing.

The closest analogy I can come up with is a local pro going to the nationals; the local pro has moments of speed but has to learn how to put it together for the full moto.

You're talking about unproven potential when you make your boast and the reason we are not buying it is the results do not back it up.

I still love the Euro's and the GP series

True.Gang members are too lazy to work and it's easier for them to prey on weaker people and take things illegally . Also it is glamorized a lot. Definitely the scurge of American life.As for the fighting in sporting arenas I never understand it.These guys fight with other fans and players, refs, cops whatever weather they win or lose sometimes.Makes no sense. It's the guys in the stands who could never make it in sports and always got picked last in Gym class that are the bullies in the stands starting fights.Dizzy

I think you will find that the stats probably read that size for size our shit hole country is more violent that the US, but the only difference being is that the average American thinks it's ok and normal to own guns.

And just to add, why do you asume that every British person goes to watch a game of footy and fight?? I am not a big fan, I support my local team who got to the final of the FA (the British version of the superbowl, world series etc.) and I didn't see any fight. If you google our club, you will see a lot about fighting because being one of the only 2 Welsh Teams in an English league, we play every weekend against our sworn enemy? To be honest, not every American is a total jerk, every american rider I have spoken to has been brilliant. But people like you are giving Americans a bad name all around the world. I just wish that you were like other forum members. Maybe you should visit www.mxtrax.co.uk where we talk about motocross not each other countries stereotypes.

I dunno about that big word, but I was told it would not be easy to fix.

He had them fixed up some, but the overbite is another story

Someone also told me that fixing it 100% would require not only big surgery, but could also alter his sinuses and therefore his breathing.

That could affect his racing, not to mention the pain and downtime

First of all Noob. Chill out.Go read some of my posts before you judge me.Come to think of it,just reread the last few.Unless YOU are a so called "Soccer Hooligan" then I wasn't even referring to you.And I never said British one time.I was talking about how some countries fight in sports stadiums because their country is losing.....or WINNING.If that is you, well then I guess it fits.If not, then why so upset?Oh,yeah,I've never uttered this phrase in all the years on this board and I know you may be only 14 but,STFU Noob.Tongue Have a good day.

It's a 25 cent word that means is he needs a combined orthodontic/surgical procedure to fix his bite. He may have muscular reasons that narrow his upper arch(jaw) also. Even if they did the surgery they could get a relapse due to that. It would be a very complicated process to do correctly and not relapse.
