Maybe MotoConcepts gets some factory support? Doubtful, but what other option besides "none", do they have?

Crazy how minimal Suzuki's presence is in moto these days, pro and amateur. Maybe the Yosh team will add a 250 rider.

Yup.
RC is all about making the "Farming System" for up-n-coming riders better organized and, actually, "Safer". We may even end up with a legit system where-by riders prove themselves in the AX series before they get their SX endorsement.

Zook needs create a future for their products.
They need to develop a decent & current 85...or even a 65. Hell, a 150!
They need a contingency & Am. support program(s).
They need to get Proactive & develop new products beyond the up-coming/changed '15 RMZ 450/250.
Suzuki is an amazing company with excellent engineering and R&D assets: they need to use them or else they'll lose them.

It sounds so easy!

Question is how to do that when you are broke?

I don't think enough race dirtbikes are sold in this US to even justify their production at the moment - anyone have the raw data?
I certainly know not enough are sold to cover what the race team spends....

Are you sure Suzuki of Japan is broke?

major bummer for suzuki, for sure...
pastrana title...
carmichael titles...
reed title....
dungey titles...
suzuki share of market...
less than before.....
its not suzuki of japan...its american suzuki...
how can they justify spending millions...when no one buys their product....
honda is the only one that can go for a DECADE without winning a big boy AMA pro SX / MX title...
and yet still have a large market share....

Their automobile division here in America was a huge burden. The bankruptcy gave them the ability to divest the cars
away. It will take some time but Suzuki be back.

Hopefully something comes aroud. Less ride for the riders in 2014 if Suzuki not coming with a 250 team!

mayby RCH or Yoshimura will pick a rider.. Or motoconcepts because they wanna quit with the 800, so full truck there..
But if the money is up,or whatever it is,its a shame! Would love to see some yellow fenders up front next year!!

Not sure where you guys get suzuki is broke. If you look at the financials they make more money than Yamaha motors every year yammie is the one broke. Yammie is in the hole over a billion dollars since 08 Zuki has made money every year

They were losing money on the American car division. Dropping that automatically made them more profit. Their stock has doubled in the last year or so. I haven't looked in a couple months but yammies stock was dropping like anchor as suzukis was going up

Suzuki needs to make a competitive two stroke to get back in the game. I heard one is in the works.

Suzuki didn't support RER. Why would they start supporting a lites team when a team they are not supporting goes to another brand. They don't have the budget. They don't even have the budget to run a second factory rider. Serves them right, maybe this will make them wake up when they realise they have no bikes out there.

Suzuki USA went bankrupt last year, mainly due to Cars, which did not sell in the USA but have sold well in most the rest of the world,

You do realize Suzuki USA is just a distributor , their stock went from $17 a share to where it's at now $25 a share since this happened.

They seem to be doing all right in the 450's this year. They have the most top tens by a pretty safe margin; RMZ=28 KXF=21 CRF=19 KTM=18 YZF=10. If anyone can add you'll notice that I'm four short on the 100 total top ten spots that are available right now, so I must of missed a couple....even with those in there they are still on top. I feel like they were the second most popular bike at mammoth for vet weekend, second to Honda of course. Whats everyone else seeing around the country??
