it seems some people almost wanted Marc to fail, which is a real shame for people who call themselves MX fans.
David , he did not fail.

I think everyone wanted him to do well.

However,to the Euro's that talked smacked -everyone wanted to prove them wrong.

Euros and Yanks alike we all talk an equal amount of smack. We used to be the fastest now you are , you don't think the tide can turn again ? It's all cyclical .

you see Jay, you don't even realise how insulting that is to Europeans. To just dismiss Evert's achievements like that. That is why people think 'you guys' are arrogant (see your American thread)...

you have just said that a rider who has won 1 (stewart) big bikes outdoor title is better than a European who won over 10 titles (everts) even though the record is 2-0 everts

now i know that Geoff and others wind you up and it's understandable for you to respond, but to just make blanket statements like that is just as bad as the people you are claiming are idiots.

it would be cool if any rider broke James' perfect season because if they 'broke it'... it means they were the better rider on the day. If it was Marc, Andrew, Tim.... Cody Cooper. Was Unadilla not the most exciting race because he came so close?

oh and fast eddy, i don't think he failed either..... i think he was successful, not as successful as he would've like. but successful nevertheless.

Anstie looks to be real good as an up and comer, but that Ken Rozken or something like that doesn't look good at all.

He was at Loretta's this year and got beat by over a minute every moto. I heard a bunch of hype about him and was really let down by his performance.

i think you're misunderstanding his thread.

Everts was great, but we had RC. James didn't win, because of RC and Everts didn't beat RC, did he?

bottom line, Evert's is an amazing rider and props to him.

we just feel like we always have to hear about the Euro guys and when we beat them they always make up excuses like: "you only have 2-3 good riders, ect..." when in reality, we have a solid 5 riders that would give their best hell on any given day [when our riders aren't hurt].

We used to be the fastest so you guys learned a lot from us by coming to Europe or riding with the Euros when they came out to the U.S. for the Trans Am etc in the '70's

You became the fastest.

Now a lot of our guys are riding with the fastest , studying your techniques etc , coming out to Lorettas and other amateur stuff to try and get quicker so when they go pro they are better prepared to race at your level.

So perhaps the table will turn for a while.

With the exception of a few greats here and there, the majority of Americans that head to Europe seem to have a tough go of things on the GP circuit. I always thought Ryno would have killed them all. And Brownie showed some amazing corner speeds .....AFTER he returned from Europe and went on to kick some American ass. Looks to me that mx on both sides of the pond offer their own unique challenges. Guess it comes down to those who can adapt. Glad to see Calimero in the mix today, no need to be bagging on anyone. Well, except all those young candyasses who got beat by a Plus 40 Vet class retired guy.

in this thread alone j100..... you have said that Josh Grant (lying 8th in the AMA Lites Championship) would beat Antonio Cairoli, Tommy Searle, Tyla Rattray, Shaun Simpson.

maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't... but that's not exactly a fair comment. You've just said Great Britain's best two riders, Italy's best rider and South Africa's best rider.... would lose to America's 8th best.
thanks...

i could've used 100 other quotes from people, i just used yours because i'm replying to you

if you want to respond to the 'Euro guys'.... don't just make blanket statements like that... otherwise you've been drawn down to their level.

Provide the links to the Euro boards where we go and start shit like Geoff does on our USA boards. We don't give two shits about GP mx as the attendance at the future usa world gp events will prove. If its an hour away and I don't have to mow my lawn that day I might attend. The only reason our washed up riders race over there is because they have to much pride to flip burgers at McDonalds and can still make money riding over there (not an option in the USA).

Decoster came to America for a reason. Our riders stay in America for a reason. Your riders come to America for a reason. We dominate the MXdN for a reason.

You can't win a pissing match with a skunk. Stick to your boards where you can all agree on everything and live in your dream world that the GP series is regarded as best in the world.

p.s. Please send another victim over if you need more proof.

Josh didn't race one national 'till Colorado, hence the reason he's 8th in points.
