For the second week in a row Tyler Villopoto took 2nd overall at the MX2 class in the Canadian Nationals. Tyler got
a fifth or better start in both motos and got into 2nd in both motos around the halfway mark. Austin Politelli, his teammate
started ahead of him in both motos and went 1-1 to Tylers 2-2. In both moto's TV5 made up ground on Politelli once he
got into second, losing the first moto by 4 seconds and the second by 5. Good job Tyler, can't wait to see you in SX next
year.

Do I see a Villipoto dynasty in the making????? Tyler races in the great white north until Ryan retires......................... Then comes down here and picks up where big brother left off??????

I'm trying to talk him into racing Elsinore since its so close to home in Cali. He wants to just start off with a clean slate
next year, but I'll keep trying.

He's had some bike issues, been sick, and made some bad decisions which plagued him in the first half, but he has been
solid the last 3 rounds. Tyler has the talent and I hope he gets it all figured out, I think he is moving in the right direction.

His recent results sound like things are going in his favor right now.

Everybody advances and/or matures at different rates, sounds like whatever he has been doing is helping.

We watched Tyler race several rounds of the Arenacross series in 2012. Based on what I saw, the three words that best describe him are fast, fearless, and sketchy. He has a long ways to go before he is anywhere near the same level as his big brother

Two out of three ain't bad. He's working on his "sketchy", and there aren't very many riders anywhere that are on the same
level as his big brother, just saying.Wink

I would be willin to gamble on a rider with those two qualities. You can fix sketchy. Fast and fearless can't be taught.

Oh really?

A long ways to go before he is near the same level as the fastest rider on the planet?

I don't want to believe it.

Pulling for Josh Clark to win it all. I think he is only 5pts out of the lead after winning the overall last weekend with a 2-2. He is very consistent. Tyler? not so much.

AP gained 17 points on J Clark at this weekends round so title hopes are quite slim at this point.

Metcalfe clinched the title this weekend too.

I think he has great potential as long as he doesnt destroy his body before he gets past the "sketchy". I talked to him a few times during trrack walks and he is a great kid, but I also saw him hit the ground HARD several times. I wish him the best in SX

I was a good hockey player, my brother was ten times as good and has a Hardy Cup ring and other awards to show for it....so what. Same parents, different people. He fights without rum, I fight with rum, lol.

Tyler threw the sickest whip of the day over the finish line jump after the second moto, crowd loved it! AP is definitely a world class rider, only TV kept him honest after about half moto.

He was ON IT yesterday.....maybe he is finding his consistency. Reminds me of the Stewarts, you have a phenom, and his brother is finding his way.
