Ha, ha

I'm just having fun. I have tried to buy big crank bearing in the past from the bearing houses and had no luck.

it kind of sucks that Chad stepped up to try and help and all he is getting for it is shit over a bearing he couldn't get in time.

Is this it in OEM form looks like there is a number?
Also I believe one from a CR 500 or even TRX400/250 will work also...they're the same I believe.

Here is a listing of part numbers.

I know 500 said crank bearing, but I think he meant big end bearing because that's what I understood to have failed on Jerry's bike in practice.

The crank bearing has been common across a lot of Honda models and years, under different part numbers.

It sounds like they are looking for the big end bearing, though, but those also are common across a wide range of cr250s from 78-01, although the crank pins may vary in kits. They are widely available, although you'd probably be told its nla if you tried to order an 85 specific oem part number.

I don't know who was ordering the part but if it was Chad Watts I'm sure he knew what he was doing! I'm really not sure what you guy's are trying to prove? This just beats all I've ever seen! The part was ordered, the part was shipped and the part did not make it in time for the motor to go back together. WTF is going on around here? Oh, back to the races.............

Man, if it was up to you guys, they still wouldn't have the bearing they needed. But they'd have plenty of spare crank bearings!!!!Laughing Laughing

Problem with matching up a bearing at the local bearing house is you would have to press the crank apart to get the bearing out. Then you really would be SOL if they didn't have one. As I understood it, the bearing was ordered, just didn't get delivered. Sometimes, shit just happens when you are in a time crunch and sometimes you just roll the dice. Crank was good for the last 28 years, what's another weekend???Blush

The OEM rod kit is discontinued, but Hot Rods makes a rod kit for the '85 CR250. It is readily available so someone dropped the ball.

This one is $75, they have 4 in stock, and includes free 2-3 day shipping.

Seriously? You guys are worse than an episode of Real Housewives and OCC rolled into one! Just let it go already. "They" tried and did the best they could. Thankfully, Jerry was able to procure another bike to use at LL. If he's faster on the 07 then good for him. Personally, I hope he wrings the ever living crap outta that thing and puts in 6 solid motos. The story with the '85 was great and it sucks it didn't come together but it's time for you little girls to get over it and move on!

Once you get that bearing number, call up Kaman Industrial Technologies here in Bakersfield Ca, here is the phone number (661) 399-8413. If you want it in maxload they can get that too. You must of been hiding under a rock for the last 20 years?

Is the maxload hampered by rpm limitations?

I still have a RupertX Tuesday Night Club T shirt, just sayin. I am pretty sure he had more than just one show.

500guy's shows were and still are good, my kids got a kick out of watching them. The Chinese one especially.

And on the bearing deal, sorry to hear he won't be riding the '85, maybe next year he could give it another shot.

Honestly people.

Some bearings are pretty much standard and can be bought at most bearing companies. But not all.

We use to put Honda mains in our Suzuki's. They were better bearings, and were interchangeable on some of the old RM 125s and 250s. But I couldn't buy them at a place like "King Bearings". .
