DC - PPV coverage please

Edited Date/Time 7/28/2013 11:55am
Ok, can MXSports finally step up and provide world wide coverage on the internet that's PPV, that's completely separate of NBC/Alli Sports with no commercials? Each week its getting more and more frustrating being here in Canada and getting crappier and crappier coverage. NBC Sports one week I can watch, next week its US only, so you download Hotspot shield only to get constant buffering. This week, can get a live stream on NBC sports, constant buffering (running an average of 50mbs cable connection, so don't tell me its my internet) so end up having to watch it on JustinTV with all the issues that that brings in crap picture, skipping and stopping. We were told we would get live coverage of the second motos here in Canada, nope, those ran last week on Sunday, a full day later and once again running tomorrow for coverage (yes NBC at 12pt for 450s). Seriously, look at this fucking madness that is going on just trying to watch MX. And please don't tell me we're lucky because we didn't used to get coverage, its 2013 and I can watch all the FIM races, live, on demand with no buffering. I cringe to think whats going to happen to Supercross coverage next year with Speed switching to FOXSports.

Enough of this shit already, can we just get one spot stop to watch all the bloody races, please?????

While I share some of your frustrations here in the Great White North todays stream wasn't one of them. Watched it here at work on what is usually fairly laggy internet and it was flawless.

+1 This coverage is the worst ever. At least we can watch the GP's in a decent fashion.

I'm more than willing to pay a decent amount for decent live coverage.

Nice, our Canadian "live" coverage today is showing Southwick 450s. Unfuckingbelievable.

As much as I want it too, it's not going to happen. PPV is not sponsor friendly. DC wants sponsors. That's it. End of story.

Just go riding on Saturday and watch the motos on youtube later that night for free. No commercials, no bs. It isn't live, but who cares, if you don't know the results it still feels like a live race, and plus you got to ride that day, so you automatically win.

Sitting in front of a TV vegetating for four hours watching the ungodly amount of commercials is not healthy, period. It is a joke that the # of commercials these days is considered normal. Go DO something and watch the motos later, the coverage is always going to be awful especially on NBC, don't wait for it to magically change every weekend.

I like this idea. I watched the whole show for the first time this weekend and I could hear myself getting fatter.

If it was PPV on the web, I could just cancel my cable and save $80 a month. Sounds like a deal to me.

PPV "ad free" broadcast dollars is LESS THAN commercial filled advertising broadcast dollars, on the web or otherwise!
Remember once upon a time, you PAID for cable to NOT watch advertising, see how that went Wink

It's not just hat DC wants sponsors, the team sponsors who fund the teams and riders racing want the exposure that comes with TV, and as TV is set up currentl (networks and cable/satellite providers), it has not been possible to harmonize concurrent tv broadcast and net streaming.

And as much as everyone understands that international fans want to see the races, the first priority is to satisfy the US fans and the sponsors targeting that market.

No issues whatsoever dvr'ing all for motos in hd yesterday. Perfect broadcast? No, but great racing and well done.
