I just rebuilt my 2005 kx250f. Cut to the chase-I'm lacking power on accel, and it Boggs about a quarter of a throttle out of a berm. It pops on accel too, and I can't get any power coming out of a turn. I've deep cleaned the carb, cleaned every jet and passageway, blew it with compressed air, IT'S CLEAN! I'm already running a 45 on the pilot jet. The stock is a 40. I've adjusted the fuel screw from stock(2.5 turns out) to almost all the way out and all the way back in trying to find a sweet spot and it still lacks power and Boggs. I tried a new accel pump, helped a little on responsive accel. But not enough. Could it be my floats? Could my cam timing be off a hair? Do I need to run richer than I already am with a bigger jet? I have a proper ground, (which would cause popping/sputtering on accel) help me out guys.
How old is the cam chain? It's possible it has stretched and retarded the timing.
Could be a head gasget.
Clutch a bit.
