I don't want to have a go at anyone. But in defence of the police in the above video seems a little unusual.

It seems the officer is trying to investigate a situation in a very diplomatic and fair way, but is refused any assistance at all times.

I know in australia things would be a little different and the officer being polite and trying to apply safety in the community, it looks as if it he has to deal with a know it all cocksucker ( mind you as part of his job he is trying to protect) Thats refuses to co operate because he thinks he knows everything.

Isn't gun crime a major problem in the usa. I give credit to the officer for remaining calm and handling the cocksucker the way he did. I can only hope the wanker gets shot by the person they are looking for.

I get the point of the video above. In America we have constitutional rights. We are brought up to respect and look up to authorities and at the same time authorities use their authority to violate our rights and the video above was a perfect example of that. It seemed pretty obvious to me that the officer was not violating the guys rights because he didn't know any better but because he could and as he stated it was common practice to do so. The officer also knew he was walking a slippery slope in doing so. He even tried to undermine the guys integrity by belittling him for exercising or standing up for his rights. The officer was more interested in exercising his authority than he was in observing the guys rights. His supervisor, probably more aware of the actual law definitely knew the guys rights and wanted no part of violating them. They are so used to people respecting their authority that they do not know what to do when someone knows their rights, even when the person is in the right. They take an oath to uphold the constitution and at the same time use their authority to push and disregard peoples constitutional rights. I'm sure most officers do it unknowingly. That is the sad part. The officer in the above video was in the wrong. But that is not to say that they guy didn't do his part to set the whole thing up. He did have a camera.

Hopefully the above video educates some officers.
